VFR: Why it's dumb and why you should stop doing it

If it wasn’t the intent, it is totally non sequitur to a strange level. There are just assumptions without backing.

No game change exists in a vacuum.

I really enjoy as Butler to be able to find evil classes, it adds much to the enjoyability of the game, Butler in FoL is pretty boring imo.

the real solution is not to use village-alligned roleblockers in your setup like ever

ok here’s how i just read that
“i enjoy butler being able to get feedback which can find evils”
There’s nothing wrong if you find a killer by occupying them and then figuring out they’re the assassin. The problem is the feedback.

village aligned roleblockers just tend to hurt town

And why can’t we punish evils for being dumb

That’s why they are added sometimes

This is why some people in ToS shame VFRing.

ToS is a broken game destroyed by VFR and many other things.

@Icibalus I totally agree with removing occupy and redirect immunity completely from the game. But good luck figuring out how to resolve complex interactions between Tornado, Hunter’s Mark, and Party. Might need to hire a professional mathematician.

@anon97870008 VFR only makes sense if you go down the list, otherwise a single evil could deliberately lead votes against only Blue Dragon players.

A chronomancer doesn’t need VFR to find evils. He can read organic accusations.

Following unfounded accusations and voting up someone just because anonymous told you to is silly. Because any evil can do that and then fabricate a reason in retrospect as justifiable as anyone else could.

I would also like to see more whispers between players.

Me too but it’s not going to happen as long as there are global spy abilities.

tl;dr: VFR is one of the most fun metas I have seen in ToL, and IMO people are enjoying it.

People only enjoy it when it’s not them getting voted up for no reason. As stated already it’s extremely hypocritical in practice because people demanding claims won’t give their own.

As an evil I love when sheep mindlessly vote up randoms and out BD, because it allows me to figure out who Prince is long before anyone else and kill him that very night, thanks to the fact I already know that myself and my allies are not Prince (you can replace “Prince” here with any important BD class). I can avoid getting put up and in fact avoid all suspicion by voluntarily claiming some random class.

VFR also outs heathens.

This is fairly easy actually hold on

Give me 3 mechanical breaks in ToS.

If RAR works then I wish ToL would use it.

Give me 3 mechanical breaks in ToS.

I meant it’s a broken game as in not competitive, town is over powered, mafia has no chance because of the strict rolelist and self-confirming town roles. Basically it has all the problems ToL USED to have, and more.

So ToS is still a fixable game?

yeah why not?

It does work but it’s really hard to translate into code without it being spaghetti code

Isn’t it already that type of code

RAR?

No, it’s an algorithm but it’s not written in mathematical terms

The game is spaghett code

Oh wait, I think you mean to make it even more confusing then it already is my bad
