Warrior Cats FM [6/15] - Dark Forest wins!

the STRONGEST PART of a PR
IS NOT THE ACTION OF THE PR
It’s the fact they can confirm themselves as town by claiming
Laying COVER for the PR by fake claiming only risks KILLING The PR

almost never will fake claiming a PR actually work out in an open setup
@katze is proof of this
in their champs game a villager fake claimed vig to try to live and ended up outing katze as vig, resulting in both dying

“be the change you want to see in the world” is always solid advice

even if nobody actually thinks that seriously doesn’t mean you can’t realize it could potentially be an issue and start thinking about it more consciously when you post

What do you mean

The strength of being a vanilla townie is that you are a pawn who can die without much impact on the game.

Never get your town PR killed for your own life.

As someone who used to fake claim a ton, it’s always bad

a couple things I noticed this game (disclaimer that I didn’t read every single post)

  • you got very bogged down in how you think town “should” play, or how you think you would play as town, without considering the fact that some people might disagree, or might do things that aren’t “objectively good play” as villager for other reasons. For instance, with your Pandas read, you thought there was no way he could possibly see Dove’s flavor as indicative of anyone’s alignment – many sites have clues in the flavor (also, I think his actual point was that counterclaiming the jailkeeper was suspicious). Similarly, you assumed that the only reason Pandas could have for not backreading the whole game was being wolf, even though the game had an estimated Discourse read time of something like 8 hours at that point.
  • you post too much. I’m not going to say that hyperposting is inherently always evil, but you don’t need to make the same point fifteen times. Repeating it fifteen times isn’t going to help people to understand it.
  • When you had a wolfread, you basically would just treat them as if they were 100 percent always lock wolf – sometimes correctly and sometimes incorrectly. This tends to harm the threadstate, + makes them more likely to start flailing even if they’re town. Drowning the thread in ‘THERE IS LITERALLY NO WAY THIS COULD EVER COME FROM A VILLAGER’ doesn’t help anything.

also @gghana for playing on MU there is a notepad functinon that keeps your notes as the game progresses specifically for stuff like this

it’s very handy

another alternative is keeping notes in your rolecard so long as you dont accidentally copypaste your whole rolecard when sharing notes

if you’re concerned people might take an issue with X part of your personality

it doesn’t hurt to think more about how to tone down X even if nobody takes a large issue with X

this

lmao

If I’m gonna be honest this is just me over compensating

I never feel like my wolf reads have any basis in good evidence or that people will actually listen to them if I don’t push them constantly

I think you’re kinda missing my point

the reason why I posted so much is because I got angry

My temper is the main issue here

the move there is to work on your explanations then tbh

or just try to emulate starv’s approach

not to scream “lockscum” at somebody until they roll over

Will this site ever have a decent lylo

Don’t care about being so right, or care about winning.

Just say what you see, and be okay with being wrong.

What is this

okay

and my point is “take a moment before posting to think about how what you’re posting will come off”

which is relevant so what’s your objection lol

when you roll town 17 times in a row

relatable

“don’t explain anything but also just tell people you won’t explain anything”
