Some players consistently kept up a meta for a long time and are a lot easier to read with knowing that meta. It’s kind of annoying that players instantly know how to read Emilia/Leafia/Surge etc based on that. It almost requires you to meta-read them over normally reading them, so I like that there are some games out there, where meta-reading becomes less prevalent. I don’t think that always having meta be had on you, can make you better. In some cases, sure. It’s good to lose a meta-reads crutch once in a while and employ other methods.

I don’t even have meta on them really, because I just played 1 game with them, but it’s just an example on players with a stark meta contrast.

I have wanted to do that and it someone helps disassociate the personal tie to the game that makes it often more taxing

Honestly my reasoning wasn’t bullshit at all imo
I had very clearly identifiable non-w/w interactions with Okosan and it put me in a great position to eat a bullet
After the redcheck I didn’t think it would be useful but then I did the math, realized we only needed to lock in four, and realized one of them might as well be me
