No, we did not establish that Eli was lying. He claimed to use an investigative action and min claimed to use a protective action. Nobody else claimed to use an investigative action, so of all the JoaT claims, Eli is the only one who would know if he had been successfully roleblocked. min and Maple claimed to use protective actions, and while they would not receive RB feedback, someone would have died. Maple clears min by claiming to protect min, and min clears themself and Eevee by claiming to protect Eevee. Eevee did not claim a night action.
The only way this would all be wrong is if Eevee is a JoaT who successfully protected someone and didnāt out it, and the other JoaT was roleblocked.
Iām not getting into that, but all of them are sitting in townclears, I think I know which one is which, and I think the scum did not know which one was which, but also never considered a world where they should kill VT instead, and went for the JoaT claim they thought had the best solving strategy and would not be protected due to surprise not being a JoaT.
This tells me that they would have had to choose between reading min or Maple as JoaT A, and reading Eevee or Eli as JoaT B. If they had attacked wisely, they would RB one of the JoaT B claims and attack one of the JoaT A claims (or vice versa). But instead, they RBād one of the JoaT B claims and attacked the other JoaT B. They were indecisive and assumed the correct JoaT B but did not assume that JoaT A would not be on JoaT B.
Lmao I forgot to address point #2 before posting, sorry.
I assumed Marl was lurking because of how they popped in later.
But Iām not clearing people who were silent during that time. Iām only clearing people who were active and made some sort of indication that they knew Eli had counterclaimed Eevee.
Why? Because, as I said, that was not a wise set of night actions from them, and if theyād paid attention, someone would be dead today.
useless comment from me: It doesnāt really matter if the Joats are who you think they are, it matters if the Mafia thinks the Joats are who you think they are, no?
Yeah basically what I said. I liked that coming into the game you were like active and putting in effort it seems, because thatās not really neccessary from scum in RVS imo.
You were equally confident about these two reads, where one of them was completely based off of one game worth of Meta?
I feel like sometimes people just subconsciously assign Emotions to Village and lack of Emotion to Scum, because lack of emotion can come off as being disconnected from all the happenings.
I mean I can see where your point comes from, but the thing is, if they really wanted to be smart, they wouldāve attacked a VT pretty much all the time if they were confused. With that said, that probably means they went for a gambit then or something.
So if we were to follow along with this, this would suggest the 2 remaining scum are impulsive, aggressive, nonchalant, etc. about things and most definitely not calculative nor thoughtful beings who plan actions out?
you are correct here
but it matters to me specifically because Iām clearing people based on acknowledgement of a counterclaim.
he had two games of my meta if thatās what youāre asking
I was scummy town D1 in the first game and obvtown D1 in the second.
Iām perfectly aware of that, but I interpreted Eliās reads/votes in a certain way that still make me willing to clear him for it.
call me dumb but I donāt know what to do with emotional content so I just ignore it most of the time lol.
they either went for a gambit or they tried to kill the person who was actually playing the game like they were supposed to
thatās true if you target both to kill. thatās not true if you target one with a roleblock and the other with an attack. my point being, two people claiming the same role are not going to protect each other anyway because they mechanically cannot.
I actually expected they would have done this because wasting a roleblock on the wrong JoaT seemed a bit meh to me? especially if they could make the JoaTs waste their protection without having to use the RB, because scum canāt use the RB again till they frame and rolecop.
maybe?? lol
I donāt see why they wouldnāt want a guaranteed kill, is the thing. Theyāre playing a bit strangely if they chose to target someone who was known to have a chance of being protected, and as we have no such thing as redirectors or the like in this game, thereās no way the protection could have been shifted to someone else.
Roleblock or not, I have reason to believe who JoaT A is and who the night kill target was, and that still tells me it was either an impulse/panic kill, a forced kill (as in, scum didnāt choose a kill target so it randed), or a scum-not-paying-attention kill.
