Would you play an anonymous game

It’s also incorrect that Marcus is boiling down people’s ability at both allignments to merely be how many players of the other allingment they want to kill. There are quite a lot of cases where HOW a person is wrong is extremely important, in the same way as how the pursue their reads is important.

As an example, shooting/lynching a wolfy villager is objectively better than shooting/lynching a consensus villager that you DECIDED was wolf.

Actually it isn’t bad because it forces good players to bus

I agree I should start bussing villagers as village seems like a good idea

As wolf

I gaurentee you it gets more villagers killed than wolves it forces to bus.

In any case, part of being a good wolf is making the villagers have bad reads by force of personality

Nah bussing as village for wolf credit is a good strategy

can you explain this

I understand it but you explain things very complicated so I want a complicated explanation

I mean if you determine good players by accuracy of their read as town then yes it does make sense to scumread them if they got their reads wrong

Make it UNTHINKABLE that you’re a wolf. Establish a macro village reader on you and your buddies, and repeatedly reinforce your own “lock cleared”-ness, however subtle or unsubtle you like.

Most notably, make it out like even the villagers you got killed were actually beneficial for the village’s sake. Bring up VCA as much as possible, talk about spew as much as possible, do anything to make it seem like you’re on the edge of gamesolving.

ICIBALUS YOU ARE A genius

I was thinking about something then there you go

you gave me an answer to a different question

Technically, they’d be RIGHT to say that you’re wolf because you’ve only got villagers killed, but that dosen’t matter. The point of BoP being a bad argument is that it’s no better than random at reading experienced players.

This reminds me of a very particular playstyle of a certain player here

exactly

Right. Now think of this: Math’s strategy STILL WORKS. He’s wolfread for it, sure, but that confidence of his establishes a large enough seed of doubt that unless something absurd like both me and Litten gunning for his D1 lynch happens he’s probably going to live for quite a while.

The thing is that powerwolfing’s effectiveness is multiplied by every wolf you have doing it.

yeah I basically had to wait for the right moment to bring MathBlade down

wasn’t confident at all of getting the lynch through if I didnt

I’m adopting MathBlade strat as both alignments

Basically, to counter a good team of powerwolves what you need is a villager with both good reads AND charisma. To counter a powerwolf, you need to become a powervillager.

Wait a second. Now all the experienced players have nearly indistinguishable metas and have to be read based on actual actions! Well, would you look at that?
