I feel like the lack of the alliance building removes one of the core functions of how YTTD works and how it would work as a Misc tbh.
YTTD Spoilers below, beware:
Think about it in this way, in the actual YTTD game, Nao can convince Sara into voting with her, tying the votes, and killing everybody else. That element is completely removed and the Sacrifice is stranded to being exposed by their own votes, more than likely. To have someone ally with you in this game, you have to have someone you can trust. And based on what we know from Danganronpa Miscs, not many people are actually willing to kill to end the game early. The same would be said for here. Marl didn’t expose he was the Sacrifice when he won. He manipulated two other players to his WiM and only outed himself when he was exposed, but by then it was too late, Zone and Windward couldn’t do anything to stop him from being victorious.
In my game, I removed that element of “pick a person to win with you” and changed it with “pick a person to kill”, this was a horrible idea, I could’ve done so much more but because of the “First Strike, you’re safe, Second Strike, you’re out” type of rule, I ruined that sort of element that was possible. But because you’re now in a situation of “First strike and you’re out”, it’s a lot better of a decision to have a sort of alliance building system around the Sacrifice. If people have many allies, they wouldn’t want to betray them, which leads to a situation of where they might be exposed to knowing who the Sacrifice is, or many other things. In this one, the Sacrifice is always basically just a shot in the dark and just hoping not to hit them.

I’m not saying a word here because I don’t like playing Miscs very much. I tried that out a time or two, and it’s simply not for me.
Just saying this in case you think I’m avoiding you or this thread on purpose. I am, but not for the reasons you might suspect.

like I knew that I couldn’t be active because YOU FUCKING INSANE PEOPLE never sleep apparently and if I betrayed marl then if he betrayed me we’d just both lose. So might as well befriend just so at least one person continues playing

Marl didn’t even want to betray you, that’s what made it sad to me.
Granted later on he did go on to betray everyone intentionally.

Unfortunately, that’s the issue with miscs, I’ve died countless times while being asleep in them.

Predicting something in YTTD here (spoilers)
After reading the book in Gashu’s secret room, I’m fairly sure now that all participants (or maybe just Sou and Sara) are dolls, with the intent of reviving Sara, that is my prediction

My favourite character from the start is Keiji and I hope he lives. I chose Kanna to die instead of Shin because I thought it’d be funny and don’t really regret it
