Have any of you guys noticed or gone into the Drowned Room?
(And if you’ve all already seen this room then this is not an interesting announcement at all btw)
I found it during Chapter 2 when I went into the Game Room and was given the choice of either going into the game extension room or the drowned room.
I had no idea what that meant so I picked the drowned room to explore inside.
Inside the room it was completely soaked as if the whole room had been flooded from floor to ceiling at some point, and there was a broken grandfather clock standing against the wall. The grandfather clock has no hands so there’s no time on it. I tried checking inside of it to see if there was anything hidden there, but there wasn’t anything I could find. There wasn’t anything else in the room, either.
In order for a room to be completely inundated with water like that, there has to have been a really large leak, but even still, rooms don’t generally flood up to the ceiling. From what I gather, it means that the place we’re in is actually an underwater laboratory where we’re kept within some sort of a sealed dome/facility. The suction tube that leads from the game room to the bar roof is one of the ways that the air flow is controlled because there is actually no air outside of our environment (because we’re underwater) and the weather is controlled presumably by a weather machine which Marl has a way of accessing with his abilities.
Anyway I think the room itself is proof (among other things) that we’re in an artificially created/manipulated environment but more importantly that it has to be below sea level and surrounded by water.
If you guys are interested in checking it out together, just prequeue your actions to go to the drowned room next. Considering I didn’t find anything in there during Chapter 2, there might be something there now that wasn’t before, and there’s also a chance the grandfather clock will unlock a secret passage or something if we find a key or something to put into the hole in its face where the hands should be.
