are the ghosts actually ghosts, or have they been brought back to life for the purpose of this simulation?
because if it’s the latter case, there’s also the chance the ghosts can kill us if we don’t kill first.

also Amelia attacked Whysper, but that may have been due to guilt or something

if the ghosts are trying to attack, then they’re physical manifestations which can mean one of several things.
I think the likelihood that the ghosts are dolls under the control of the game host is very high. We know dolls are a thing in this game, considering there was the doll we put together in Chapter 1 and it obviously walked off somewhere on its own. We know the Chapter 2 host provided PKR with a doll’s body to stay in, instead of his own.
