1.0.11 Patch Notes

I think the length of day is perfect. You feel like the days are short because we trial for logs or we execute and the day ends. If we exec first thing in the day then it was effectively 30 seconds long. I feel your perception is skewed. Those days, d2 specifically, where is nothing going on seem like forever. Just people bullshitting in chat and not even trying to get info. Mostly because whispers mean evil. If everyone whispered all the time we could get off the whispers are evil meta and actually get and pass information. Right now itā€™s a death sentence because no-one does it so the few that do stand out.

I know on days where it is throne of whispers, whether Iā€™m evil or good, I donā€™t feel like weeding through who whispered who. Too much to keep up tbh. But on days where one person does it stands out and I kill that person.

Well i agree that some days are too short and some days are too long.
Maybe you can add two buttons that request to make the day longer/shorter and if more then half of the people click it, it will work. Because in the end game people need more time and in the early days less time.

Or have each day last 5 seconds longer, until a max time or something

I like this

For the most part I like the changes.

I think 3 is way too many on ā€œMagic Dust allā€ though. That makes it insanely easy to fake an Inquisitor log as Reaper, and also makes the Inquisitor potentially useless as an investigator for the first half of the game.

If we are going to do that many, Iā€™d rather it made the Sorcerer non-MU instead of everyone else MU, as it would make the logs challenging again.

I do want sorcerer to win more, but I donā€™t think this is the way.

I was thinking that you should make the sole worry of the sorcerer the inquisitor. The sorcerer would appear BD to king and obs, magic missile wouldnā€™t be a visit, so on. However, sorcerer would only have the old magic dust defense against inquisitor.

I think this is best because the most fun part of sorcerer is being hunted by inquisitor.

I have a strong feeling the inq and sorc will be scrapped soon. They just canā€™t get them right and Iā€™m sure they are taking up a lot of their time. Plus we didnā€™t need nor ask for another NK. We need a neutral that is a special/invest, killer/offendive that isnā€™t NK, and another good social/ support so neutrals can have a claim and this gives evil more claims too.

If not scrapped then absorbed into the two factions.

Sorc and Inquis are good classes, they just need to refined

I never felt that VFL was a problem that needed solving, and instead it would be better if evil roles actually learned to lie, but Iā€™m not strongly against this, either. I feel like 3 trials per day would be better, but I guess weā€™ll see how 2 goes.

The main issue I have with Sorc/Inquis is that it feels like Sorc generally just dies to BD rather than the Inquis. The Inquis feels more like a wildcad than a hunter because just like any other NK odds are theyā€™re going to get caught and killed eventually anyway. And, once the Sorc is dead, the inquis isnā€™t obligated to use his powers to help BD. Heā€™s a neutral, he can do whatever he wants, or just do nothing.

By making magic dust stronger and therefore the Inquisā€™s investigative powers weaker, this is only going to make the issue worse. Theyā€™ll be even more games where the Inquis dicks around for 5 days before BD kills the Sorc and they ā€˜winā€™ while having done nothing.

I can understand a trial maximum, because days can drag on and on with trials, but it should be a maximum of 3 or 4.

Another way to solve it is to overhaul the trial system. Instead of having trials, have people accuse people throughout the day. At the end of the day, anyone who has majority (could be multiple due to royal finger I think) dies.

Kingā€™s decide fate would not work with this, so I would recommend changing it to:

Mass execution
(2-3 uses?) If no one has enough votes to be executed by the end of the day, the player you are accusing will die

So swap it to a deadline lynch?

Iā€™mā€¦ not opposed.

Thatā€™s actually a really really good idea and would solve a lot of the games problems.

We should definitely try it out for an update, Iā€™d be down. Plus it keeps day from being extended by trials. Just make day a tad longer to compensate.

It may be a good idea until evil has majority and evil king

Thatā€™s literally no different from the currentā€¦

Thatā€™s true. The only bad thing is if now if somone gets alot of accusations they can claim or make a case and get pardoned.

In your case they would die no matter what their case or claim is. Scorned would benefit the most from this due to sheeple.

Thatā€™s on them though. Make a claim and get people to unvote you

In this situation an unvote is basically a pardon. As long as there is some way to determine who is going to be killed at the end of the day in the UI then it could work without changing to much. Iā€™d suggest trying it out in FoL first, SFoL is a good place for this sort of thing.

There would just need to be a threshold (Like 30% of all living players or more) and a cut off point where you canā€™t vote anymore, but can still unvote
