1.0.16 Patch Notes

As I said, I think I’d be more fond of convertible Sheriff and unconvertible Paladin.

We’ll see, I guess.

You’d think, in a lore sense, the Paladin would be the one to be unconvertable. Their faith should help them resist the temptation of evil.

Screw lore, I just think it would work better with Cult’s mechanics :stuck_out_tongue:

I agree. Although they did kinda just make Paladin able to defend themselves from cult conversion.

So make it full-time unconvertible, but keep the “if you try, you die” aspect of Smite.

That could work. TBH I kinda want them both to be convertable but have the sheriff surveillance self targetable to defend against converts

Done

This is a start, but it’s still underpowered. It should last the entire day.

I agree that allies needed a removal, but the starting king is useless now. Replace it with this:
Confine(Unlimited) - During the day, your target will not be able to speak to or hear anyone but you. They may not be voted up for treason or targeted by day abilities. They may not use day abilities. Everyone will be told who you confine.

Don’t you mean Can’t Touch This?

This is bad. Smite needed a rework/removal, not a buff. And paladin needs a rework, it’s a hardcounter.

Why? It was fine at 3.

Why? Brotherhood needed a buff if anything. It will be useless now.

Why? Sheriff needed a rework, not a buff. It’s a hardcounter. And the only BD class that should be unconvertable is prince.

Why? Inquisitor needed a rework, not a buff. It’s hard enough to win as sorc and way too easy to win as inquis. Hardcounters also shouldn’t exist. And why are all of the hardcounters getting buffed when no one asked for them to be buffed?

Why? It was fine at 3. At least make it so it can target self, is usable at any time, and bypasses night immunity to make up for this nerf.

Everything else is fine. Also, you should’ve kept the observer and princess changes. The new abilities fit the themes of the classes. Their current side abilities have nothing to do with their themes.

@RHCube you claim that both hardcounter classes need reworks but not buffs

Please elaborate.

They need reworks because they only affect the unseen/cult, and are useless once the unseen/cult die(though sheriff’s new ability did help, but it shouldn’t be told when an unseen member visits). Smite and scout are also overpowered, there’s no way to counter or trick them. I’m not sure how to rework them though, maybe Sheriff could be reworked so its only ability is Surveillance with unlimited uses. And maybe Paladin could be reworked so it’s based off my confine(During the day, your target will not be able to speak to or hear anyone but you. They may not be voted up for treason or targeted by day abilities. They may not use day abilities. Everyone will be told who you confine.) ability idea.

It’s impossible to hardcounter an entire faction. We just call that a soft counter to the members of that faction.

Smite and scout do hardcounter the cult leader/mastermind though. And they’re still useless once the unseen/cult die.

Once the Unseen/Cult die you win. And it’s fine to have Ability’s that effect one class if the class is guarenteed to be there.

Not always. And that doesn’t make them fair. There’s no way to counter or trick smite or scout. Scout’s only weakness was that it was easy to fakeclaim, but now sheriff will rarely be fakeclaimed. And smite doesn’t even need to be fakeclaimed.

Dude. If the sheriff/Pally can predict who you convert then you are doing it wrong anyways

What about D1/N1 smites/scouts? And that still doesn’t make them fair.

N1 scouts are no big deal and no one it thier right mind does a N1 smite. If they did it wouldn’t matter that much anyways. Early game isn’t important.

For Unseen/Cult I mean. Neuts and BD totally care about early game.

Amazing changes, thank you so much
