1.1.1 Patch Notes

This is actually a nerf rather than a buff. Old hide prevented attacks that bypassed night immunity. Also, there was nothing wrong with the old hide

This shouldn’t happen. It’s bad enough that cold steel doesn’t kill its target if they are BD. Omniscient attacks are never good for BD.

Why? There are too many conversion immune classes as is.

This is bad. Everything needs counterplay.

Also, mercenary should be able to choose their first contract, and be told their contract’s class.

He also doesn’t attack Unseen if Redirected. While this isn’t the solution I would use it is a viable solution to the problem people mentioned.

Hide was not fine at all

:+1:

Because confirmation

I don’t agree

Then he is confirmable…

While Mechanically Hide is better. It had the major downside of revealing that you are Fool most of the time. Sometimes it doesn’t but it does it too often for changing it to be a Nerf overall.

Agreed. He can keep the Redirect Immunity because he doesn’t target so it helps clarify things. However Occupy Immunity is not needed.

Note: Actualy maybe it’s supposed to make him an NK fake claim? He isn’t as easy to confirm now that Guard doesn’t give a message.

What about sage? Sage redirection for the knight was the best

I think the force pardon makes the Mercenary too confirmable. I like some way for day protection, but it makes it super hard to fake claim.

As long as your target is not accused of treason you should be fine. Unless this starts some weird metagaming where people accuse the contract just to prove the merc…

Just ask vote up Mercenary targets to confirm them.

It will happen to get evils.

Most likely mercs will start fakeclaiming something.

Pardon their target

And say they are merc

That could be fixed if they change the ability so that instead of triggering instantly it triggers after everyone has voted and ONLY if the majority voted to execute. This way if they want to prove the merc claim they would end up killing an innocent person as well if the mercenary is fake.

Think it makes it much harder for a merc with unseen as a targeted sheriff checks

Unseen

Pardon the target

Then they get executed the next day

And you lose

Imagine he gets a hunter up.

Execute two BD dead for the price of one evil who will get replaced lul ez

Thats the point, that way they will think twice before putting a contract up just to prove the fake merc claim.

Rebound sounds amazingly good. Also sounds like you can really troll if you have a prince. Prince outs

Rebound

Everyone dies

Can end up going horribly wrong.

But eh that’s the price to pay to have a merc

It may confirm the fool, but that’s the counterplay to fool. Everything needs counterplay.

Can you explain more?

Why? One of the reasons why prince is overpowered is because it has no counterplay.

Mercenary should be confirmed to their target. Mercs have a hard time if their target won’t claim to them.

Mercenary should be confirmable, but only to their target. I agree that it shouldn’t be confirmable to the whole court though.

No, it shouldnt. That makes it confirmable to everyone who trusts that person. Plus, it’s more interesting if you can’t trust Merc claims. Should you be able to trust all CW claims as BD? No.

How can you win if you don’t know what their faction is? People won’t claim to mercs if merc is easily claimable.
