This is basically a test for something I’m working on at school. This game requires two people to play Magnus’s edition of 21. There are number cards, listed 1-11. There’s an Ace in There, which could equal 0, 1 or 10.
There are upgrade cards, 3 in total. The loser of the following round gets to decide which to take first. And there are Chance Cards, which pop up randomly during the game. These can be kept until needed, and turn the game on its head!
when the game starts, each player is required to draw a card. These are hidden from the opponent. Players share the deck, which has only 12 cards in total. The closest to 21 (or whatever the target number is) without being bust wins. If both players are bust, the lowest number wins. Players have 5 lives, and start at bidding 1 per round.
to recap -
Get as close to the target number without being busted.
Players share the same deck.
Upgrades can be selected at the end of the round. Loser goes first.
Chance Cards are given randomly.
