Most setups (even mashes) only need 1-2 strong town investigatives
what im saying is, y’all are limiting yourselves by just making the claim punishment the claimant dying

Desperado, Innocent Child, Mason. Any role that can avoid the lynch just by claiming is self-resolving.
Wolves need to be able to secure a decent % of MLs to win. If every villager can escape the lynch just by claiming, then that breaks setups.
I also advise against putting too many alignment checks in the game otherwise this can clear way too many players way too quickly.
The problem is that people design setups where town has insane amounts of power across all players.

For my DR setup I’m basically making everyone have just a small and cohesive kit to themselves. In short, every player will have their own niche instead of being a JOAT-y role.
This issue can be solved by not including more than one or two self resolving town roles, alongside giving scum options to kill these players

perhaps scum have a strong-man occupier, that can only target people whove claimed, can be used multiple times per night, but can only be used on a particular person a certain number of times. maybe this number increases with the severity of the claim
There’s also slank vigs and KP like day vigs tend to be self-resolving as well.

But the problem is that without it then it’ll just be non-stop mass-claiming.

Wolf Dayvigs are completely fine to add to setups if you adjust faction size accordingly
Hell, my original draft for clown fiesta had 3 main scum + an sk team, with one being an even dayvig
Which is why my two tiers of claim-vigs are going to exist. Once you get the CV out, you pretty much can claim up to half your role and the claim vig loses its strongman effect.
Hmm, maybe I’m going to incorporate the CV into the Despair Counter.
Allow the Despair Counter to go too high and the claimvig becomes stronger.
