I can say same thing for non-mechanical reads
Mechanics are also better than RNG because for mechanical read to exist there has to already be a pattern
I see what you’re saying, I just think that’s a fundamentally unfun way to approach the game.
Not going to lie and say that hasn’t influenced my reads in some way sometimes. In Bloodmoon conclave it was for instance likely to me that a backup doctor/doctor/poisoner trio would have at least one scum.

It should only serve as an augmentation towards your reads and not be the main factor however. I think that’s very prone to error otherwise.
Is LOTRFM not proof? Early on Marshal’s ISO was very scummy imo.
You know that’s anecdotal. I’m just going to say that in my experience, it would most often rather lead to an error than a solution and it swings the other way for reads now that I’m thinking you’ll say that. Also reads are literally how it is meant to be played, sooo yeah.
All of these arguments have been opinionated. It’s a fact that if hosts at least sometimes discourage “mechanical solving” that it’s devalued.
From specific ones that I remember at least Merc/Twi/Luxy have done that. Alice also had that in adjective mafia actually, so that’s quite some hosts already. I couldn’t imagine Geyde not having it either, but I haven’t played in many of Geydes setups. Eevee especially does it too.

Is FoLs concept of the converts somewhat closed? Since it’s almost the same abilities for good and evil. (If you ignore the existence of MM/Assa/CL and only see on the other converts.
