If you don’t share your real data, BD is losing information, which is bad.
That’s why you are kinda gamethrowing if you wouldn’t open claim D2 as BD in FoL, if there would be no logs
It’s mostly a joke, that’s why it’s crossed out
There are elements of CW empower that are not obvious from the information in-game, such as the fact that sometimes you can empower aid people while occupied

look logs are theoretically bad because they encourage people to sit on info instead of taking risks and they make deciding the nightkill less meaningful for wolves
but practically we’re stuck with them

There’s points for and against both strategies
If outing becomes meta and that’s seen as problematic there are other changes that can have a more direct effect on that meta
Logs are only loosely correlated with massclaims, often you can soft important info
