So for the one FM Im making Im not sure how I want to move forward I got three options

  1. Make roles flavored based, and that a certain group to be always scum making replayability lessened, but make it more balanced
  2. Make roles not based on flavor and make anyone able to be made scum and random roll it before every game so each game is different. Maybe make each role have scum specific abilities alongside their normal, so they do have a powergap
  3. Make it not based on flavor but make the scumteam more random from the cast so you cant use flavor against it, and then give them stronger abilities and focus it so it is balanced. This will also make the replayability a little stale since character X will always be scum.

Dont know how yall go about it, and am interested in knowing more

TLDR dont know which way to take my game and would love some opinions, fully flavored to the original story with balance, random allignments and scum bonus abilities for every character so if people are willing to we can run it multiple times with new scum teams every game if fun prob way less balanced, or a set random alligned characters to be scum and focused on a balanced scum team
