[Alch Rework] [Stoneskin]

So the new neutral class announcement got me thinking of a way to increase the skill floor of alchemists.

Stoneskin (D) You start with 0 stoneskins. You gain 1 stoneskin everytime you successfully kill or heal someone that is attacked Max 3 stoneskins

I would also recommend giving Alchemist an extra yolo bomb and/or changing the amount of stoneskins avaliable.

Should at least have 1 stoneskin use, so they don’t die Night 1.

A change that involves Alchs having to put in effort to survive? Good luck getting people on board with that.

I like the idea though.

Looks good.
Depends on if you would choose to ally or not, you will be rewarded in some way or not.
I’m not sure about number of uses probably 0 or 1 is good number.
Its the matter of how Alch would manage to adapt with this change.

I’m sort of on the fence for whether alchemist should start with a stoneskin or not. Limiting his heals or reworking stoneskin to be a combined mechanic with emerald potion is also an idea, alchemist has death immunity if and when he decides to bomb. Rework stoneskins as a reward for healing attacks.

Note that the Alchemist does not gain stoneskins for healing bleeding or poison.

Which is why I would say 1 stoneskin at start is fine. It isn’t pernament so Alch still can die without using it at right moment.

Terrible. Absolutely terrible. With this changes Alchemist’s must put effort into winning instead of killing the Prince night 1.

Prehaps replace Stoneskin with Brew Stoneskin Potion (Day) Brew a stoneskin potion it will be ready and used in 1 day - 3/4 uses or you could give it 1 starting charge of stoneskin wich can be recharged bye using Brew Stoneskin Potion but you cannot use both in 1 day

No one stoneskins n1. If you die n1 just go into another game

I stoneskin everytime day 1. I like Alchemist and just forfeit if you don’t get an early advantage is not the challenge I seek in the game.

N1 is the lowest chance you have to be attacked

That is not the argument you were making. :eyes: After you outed as Alchemist after a successful heal, you won’t get attacked anyways by scum. It’s more about getting to that point that is difficult.

For a class that has a goal of surviving to actually be decent instead of trash they have to be able to survive N1 if they wish to.

Sorc doesn’t meet this

The most common reply post-pretender announcement is to rework the inquisitor’s kill to work like the pretender’s. Ie it must investigate the target works. I believe sorc/inq will still need further changes as sorc being able to bastardise the sorcerer’s check makes the inquisitor far too slow; inquisitor could almost be considered BD.

Get rid of being able to hide from inquistor as sorc

Make the inquistor have to check for magic first

Give sorc more ways to blend in besides blending in from the inquisitor.
