All of these can be mentioned in private chats.
Which means that the information was in fact taken from the thread.
So either you ban Arete saying that information outright, making the question useless or you allow it on both parties.
I prefer allowing mainly because not saying it outright is again, restricting town from gaining information
Don’t we love that.
I’m always scum with Arete
So what is meta, and what is not meta but angleshooting? Because it’s both from outside the thread.
Then host would know so it should be fine
if u mentioned it sure
well u couldnt do it after in dead chat since ur removed
Like its not oog, its prob not punishable, but it be weird unless ur going with the idea hat u two are in a chat
Exactly. And if the host decides to punish one person for it and not the other?
The host is essentially giving information that Arete + Priestess are in a neighborhood chat. Which is why you either allow it all or you ban it all. And you can’t ban it all in this case.
This is why host warnings shouldn’t be public and modkills/force replacements aren’t allowed to be discussed.
^^^^^^ this
Would Meta reading someone based off of previous games be angleshooting? You are using Out Of Game Information.
No, because it’s available for everyone to read.
So is the time you last posted. But you still say no for that.
Essentially if its mentioned in game or in a public space on the forums like another game or another public thread it should be fine if u brought up X said he is unavailable, if its info u have received in game or publicly. Its less advisable in scum scenarios since its like u prob have to fake a neighborhood but as long as long as you can pull it off ur good.
“from the forum but not from the game-thread”
sounds pretty much like angleshooting
There is a different reason for that one, which is something I’d rather not get into more and kind of sad, but probably makes sense why it came up, it was mentioned here.
Cause thats an exploit that is able to be used against scum for the puroses of winning unfairly. Scum have no control over that. Plus it could be wrong, they could be speaking in a dm or another game chat or in their cc
Why not being transparent? After the game it should be possible to tell the others what kind of warnings were given out.
I don’t agree with the last posted thing. I’d consider it an exploit due to the forums, not the game. And therefore it’s an outside of game tool and breaches the rule.
(Which is what Angleshooting tries to cover but does it badly whilst OGI covers it well)
Yeah its out of game and thats angleshooting they are practicly one in the same
So therefore, you could have a TvT showdown of “Well you messaged somewhere else on the fourms!”
“Yeah, to Place X!”
" Don’t you mean Scumchat?!"
etc etc
THATS why its banned
Yeah, why should we not be transparant and give out how exploits are done. I guess it’s already too much out there in this thread anyway.
If you were to exploit a bug in ToL, what do the rules say about it?
