That would force people into changing their off game behavior in favor of the game. It could go as far as not logging in Discord even not to appear to be online, or make people prejudice their lives irl for mafia disponibility.
Uh… it’s just a game. If you change your irl because of it, something’s definitely wrong.
I’ve done maybe one or two posts, while everyone else was posting too, to pretend that I didn’t know exactly that I quickhammered on purpose, while trying to do an inofficial VC, so I could stop the others to speak.
I already got ignored by the other players when I told them that it’s hammer in other games, unless when I made a VC, so I had very bad experiences already.
It’s just interesting that you are warning someone for intentionally twilight posting when I did post 1-2 times something like “Oh, is it already hammer?” while everyone else was speaking a lot. 
Now answer me, if I quickhammer someone, and the host failed in doing VCs for lots of hours so we didn’t know the exact VC, is it my duty to tell the others to stop posting (they’ll ignore that anyways, they always do)? Yes I knew, I quickhammered, but I didn’t want to show that I did it intentionally.
Tbh we blame the host here for not doing VCs.
Then teach me what this spirit of the game is, because I legit have no idea about what this is, and how to follow it or not.

No, for real, if you want to punish people for not playing like you would like them to, that’s host bias. Nothing else.
