’ <- this little guy is an apostrophe

He is used to denote contractions
With his help, “he is” can be condensed to “he’s”

However, he isn’t used for plurals
The plural of “alchemist” is not “alchemist’s”, it is simply “alchemists”

Nor is he used for present tense verbs
The present tense of “to walk” is not “he walk’s”, it is “he walks”

Use Apostrophes with care

Apostrophes are used for possessives though, which would make “Alchemist’s” correct in some contexts.
