Forum is full of folks who are complaining about king or inquisitor vs sorceress balance. But there is one more problem.Assassin and his distract. It is pretty useless.Honestly, I cant use this ability properly to help win the game. It is really weak compared to other.I suggest that the duration of the effect be extended to the rest of the day (like icy touch).
Why not just remove it? It’s useless, but I also don’t think Assassin needs to be better right now.
Icy touch is really strong if timed right, Distract is weak and semi-pointless
So just get rid of it tbh
I have found a few ways to use distract
When a player is being framed or voted for, or something similar or under suspicion
When they ask for role or logs, i tried distract. because of the ten second delay, they thought he was writing it down as they went. and he was executed.
Distract is interesting idea.Main weapon of BD is comunication and info sharing. If Assassin can “disrupt this weapon” it can bring a lot of interesting strategies. (I was sad when hangover was disabled)
Now it is just little underpowered.
The reason there’s little complaining on it, is while it is worthless, it isn’t something the assasin needs. Poison in the daytime, killing at night, are both very useful towards getting his job done. Inquis vs sorcerer was a huge issue for a while just due to inquisitor being effectively uncounterable for the sorcerer.
just make distract a little longer, maybe 20 seconds
Change it to allow the assassin the ability to see if a target it kill immune or not.
why though? That’s a completely different ability
That was the point…
Actually that’s not a bad idea at all.
Too strong. Will put certain neuts at a severe disadvantage. Even more wills with: (number) is NK. So, no thank you.
Also, I prefer a social skill (anti in this case) to an investigative one. MM should be the main Unseen investigator, not Assassin.
But duration could be increased with 5 more seconds. The skill has some real potential when timed right.
I’d make it so target player doesn’t see messages for 10 seconds instead. Would be a lot more useful that way. Also don’t announce it in chat so it’s more like a trollbox
That is a great idea damn
That could work, making look like the chat died to the target for 10 seconds and the messages send by the target actually didn’t go through?
Yep, that’s a great idea.
My main concern is that you cant use it when someone is put on trial, but you can still silence them if you manage to use it right before the last person accuses them and it will work. I don’t know if that is intended or not.
