Okay, I see this is what App was attempting to do with the Politician claim. He thought he could tempt one of the evils to betray and help town win. But that apparently didn’t work.
Then once his Politician claim failed and was outed, he assumed that trying to honestly reveal as his true role Saint wasn’t going to help him and might even be worse. Which was likely the case.
I’m a different person and I’m just coming into this by laying out all the cards on the table and hoping that town realizes their mistake on App. He was seriously invested in this game and became super frustrated when he saw it all backfiring.

He should know there’s a spy in-game but still claims politician to get evils to swap. Looong shot but okay.
But then why not rescind? There’'s 0 reason not to rescind. He wasn’t suspected at that point and he stuck with the claim even when I directly called him out saying he said he wouldn’t openclaim as politician.
He’s probably played more BoTC than anyone here so I just don’t understand how he sticks with such a flawed gambit for so long

My decision to vote you, Night, is because as I thought, App’s slot was hiding something and because nominations are drawing to a close, I felt a need to try and stick out a way for App to survive.
I also think you and Arctic are the team and idk who the carrier is. Likely Arctic, so this’ll be for nothing. But, it’s an effort and I’m going to do it anyway.
