The evidence that supports this is mainly about the timing of their whispers and when they began accusing marl.

~An hour after pigeon and Marshal start whispering, Pigeon places marl at the bottom of their read list.

Marshal comes in after a significant amount of time passes. Although there is a large difference between the times that pigeon and Marshal pushed Marl, they did so on the same day after their whispers.
