Well, actually no.
12 hours: Nomination phase. Players who wish to nominate may do so at this time, and votes may begun to be cast during this time as well.
The last 24 hours of the day are “reserved for voting” in the sense that nominations cannot be made during that time, to stop someone from trying to ram a nomination through last-minute. Players may certainly mark their votes during the Nomination phase (although the person they’re trying to vote does in fact need to be nominated). In a proper game of Clocktower, the nominations can be made right up until the end of the day, but that works rather poorly with this format, given that players are in different timezones and logging on at different times.
(Psst… You can totally just say “Marl has nominated Blizer! Eli is first to vote.” or words to that effect.)
