I maintain that their “I blame Nyarchmage” line in and of itself was not scummy but in the context of how their play would develop throughout the day I think it’s clear that, if they are in fact the last scum, their plan was to kinda buddy people and so this here reads a lot more like bantering with me to build that rapport even as they blew up a townie.

We then enter the section of the game I’m genuinely impressed by. CloneCat managed to play the next few hours super well.

First they accuse HissingTimebomb of having TMI on them, which is a genuinely cool play for scum to make after just blowing somebody up.

The game won’t be solved with one player, although I’m intent on finding one today.

This is some genuinely well-crafted progression that isn’t easy to fake. Props.

Note they did leave themselves room to walk it back again when questioned by Cell, but on this whole this was a really good exchange.

Clone then gave what would turn out to be one of their only actual reads of the whole game (with an escape button still):

This immediate onslaught backed Clone into a corner they needed to work their way out of quickly. Unfortunately for them, Ultimate wouldn’t give them any specific points they could fight against, so they had to try and dig for reasons they could rebuke while frantically searching for another way out.
