Here is the optimum scenario for each case:

Scum is abstainer. They need an Isaac voter dead last night. Now remainers probably lynch marg. After this, 2 abstainers, 2 isaac voters remain. They kill one of the two remaining Isaac, bus the other abstainer with the right work and win. Why is killing marg last night inferior here? That is obvious. In our case both abstained are most suspected here and most primed to die.
Meanwhile, an Isaac voter who took the actions last night is in a great spot as scum. Now 3 Isaac voters, 2 abstainers remaining. We lynch an abstainer today and the scum kills an Isaac voter, or better yet, the other abstainer, and is in a great, great, great position to win in LyLo.

There’s no reason for a scum that escaped PoE to want to make a way for them to get lynched.
