I just realized that it’s not possible to ISO me in any of the games that I played on my own account here

That is unfortunate if anyone ever wants to meta me

Luckily I never need to meta myself.

@Arete
Am I on your ignore list? Because you have ignored my question

If that is about nappy, then no, without knowing Nappy’s meta, I saw blatant pocketing and b/c of that, he was on PoE. At EoD he got really defensive and failed a reaction test, queuing others to chime in and start pushing the wagon too. I was also suspicious at Katze’s AtE about Nappy, as it felt off, but I didn’t consider her doing it to gain credit until it was too late.

LyLo thing…Well…in theory it works, I just didn’t take into consideration people panic voting and locking in on each other instead of following the plan (lynch DatLurker)

Yes, how do you fight this btw?

I was doing reads quietly for hours, I didn’t expect the game to end on day 1 so I saved them for when everyone was discussing, and I knew I wouldn’t get lynched

The reason that game went to shit was early rando detonations. Also there were at least 2 players using gutreads for literally everything.

My biggest issues I see, is

  1. Powerwolfing
  2. Garbage Scum-hunting Methodology (gutreads)
  3. Inactivity
  4. No one ISOs like they did in SFoL 58, and not as many wallpost either. It’s hard to get any info, you end up tunneling the 4 people that are talking.
  5. PoE as a tool has gone down, and b/c of the tunneling that keeps happening, some people also might find it better to just lay under the radar (vicious cycle)

For me, I tunnel too much, and I get pocketed too easy. I will fix those.

I mean

you did in fact describe a good strategy for townplay

given that that is in fact how I play, and how I encourage people to play, I’m not really sure what you’re looking for

When there are total of 5 people talking, those 5 will just scrutinize everything about each other and ignore the no-posters

I also tend to scumread chaotic attitudes as non-town, but tbh, that is a bias b/c why be chaotic as town

socially? force loud voices to make their casses in one coherent post. Powerwolves shove things down others throats. If someone is very adamant about something, then force them to back up their pushes with logic and reasoning. If they fail to do this, call them out.

Mechanically? cop check power-players night 1 or as early as possible. They say to check nullreads but a cop on a 0-poster is IMO not as good of a cop as a cop on a town-leaning topposter.

i feel targetted

it was more @Marshal :eyes:

in general
force people to explain their reads.
try to poke holes in their logic.

If you cannot poke any holes, then whatever that player is proposing is likely a sound case

maniac-method players are always scumread, i just need to stop being a baby and learn how to differentiate good maniacs and evil maniacs

nobody did this to me in poison
or ritual mafia

so i just kept hardpushing base-level reads with level 1 logic.
and while I wasn’t in towncore, me + kat heavily influenced the game

thing is, townies havent been using good logic either, so too many players to consider

if lots of villagers are getting mislynched and no or almost no wolves are getting lynched try to figure out why

it usually means either ‘powerwolfing’ or ‘all the wolves are AFK and the villagers are tunnelling each other’ and you can sometimes find clues in the gamestate that will tell you which

if you want specific things to look for – look for people who aren’t reevaluating even in circumstances where they should be

clearly this means the players with good logic are the wolves

and people… are annoying.

Lots of times they won’t give any reasoning. So it’s baby steps.

if someone is like “idk why i scumread this person it’s pure gut” try to get them to quote certain posts that pinged their gut.

so its 50/50 whether logical thinking is scummy rn b/c of gutreaders

kiiinda disagree with this

“power players” are more likely to be able to clear themselves at some point and more likely to die at night (making it harder for you to lock the game with your peeks)

I like that idea
