Low WIM is a necessary evil that comes with hosting gigantic games over and over again with no break between

Big games should be an outlier rather than a standard part of the experience
Because ā€˜not being heardā€™ results in low post counts from each player

itā€™s much easier to lose wim in a big game

Perhaps this is why all of my most shit performances besides fol 19.5 have been in huge games

Itā€™s not expected from the players to play in every single game. Especially in 24P games and whatso

The issue is that this forum has developed a stigma of being THE place for mechanically complex mashes. IMHO our mashes are often more mechanically complex than anywhere else on the entire internet.

With people like alice and others, now everyone wants to get in on things and design their own mash with flavour they love

Im . . . not really sure how we can try to counter this stigma tbh.

I started playing here because HPM stopped hosting games and this is the only other place I know that hosts role madness~y games + forum is just good

Some players here, I wouldnā€™t want to play vanilla with to be frank

if people excessively slank over multiple games, thatā€™s a cause for blacklist
there are no other overarching rules that should be implemented by the mods

hosts can have mandated levels of activity

like
we have a bit over 30 people who join games as of now

this forumā€™s done great, non-mash, non-vanilla, non-sfol medium sized setups like ritual mafia, auction mafia, BfA, Iciā€™s games, Jgoesā€™ games, and more.

imho mashes should not always dominate over those
Geydeā€™s right. Widespread WiM parchment might be inevitable if there keep being tons of mashes very fast?

I mean obviously

but I donā€™t think having so many mashes is a bad thing

I think itā€™s on the players, not on the amount of games per month

I agree. Regardless itā€™s hard tho.
Tons of players look up to a few that have a seemingly limitless ability to play and multitable everything well, constantly.
P sure most do not have this ability.

Itā€™s definetly not something everyone has

Burnouts are pretty common and you donā€™t usually want your players to burnout from mafia

This is called strategic replacing out and therefore against the rules.
If you donā€™t think you will have enough wim as every alignment, just donā€™t play, or try at least your best

how is replacing out if your not going to play the game ā€œstrategic replacing outā€???

You answered this question yourself.

i mean
a slot thats is effectively dead changing to anything but that is +EV

i think what priestess is saying is that if you sign up for a game, it should indicate a willingness and psychological ability to actually play the game (which is why the new replacements policy is good).

@Arete

if I can be privately blacklisted without it being posted publicly in the thread, and without it being publicly confirmed unless i attempt to join something, thatā€™s something iā€™d consider?

But I doubt anyone would be comfortable with being published for eternity in the moderation logs due to a self-made request for mental health purposes.

so :man_shrugging:

which i think isnt unfair

i think this is a bit narrow sighted though and doesnā€™t fully consider why someone would lose WiM over the game

Think of it kind of like that dumbledore on the locket lake island scene in half blood prince (i give a request, you never relent on that even if i ask later [once i start drinking the metaphorical poison of FM withdrawal])

really see no reason why it would need to be published publicly in the logs. It also is fairly humiliating for someone who just asked for mental healthā€™s sake and never did anything to earn a spot there to be published there. I think this factor would cause everyone to turn away from this option of requesting a blacklist. The humility just isnā€™t worth it.

Pls consider my proposal and then respond to me, ty
