I would think this is pretty normal for town especially when the thread posts have sky rocketed. I’ve sometimes been told to not worry about trying to catch up but just engage in the thread when available. So asking questions while others are around at the time seems reasonable.

I was noticing that the Atlas wagon didn’t really have what seemed to be established as town core. And then the town core must have split off from Wazza onto others. Were those events related?

Yeah I noticed that too. And like someone mentioned, his timing for coming back into the thread looked good. He didn’t wait for a slower time. He wasn’t worried about getting right back into the thick of things.

I feel like he’s overplaying the “I am a mech person” card. Him continuing to mention it feels like he’s trying to establish himself as a certain type of presence rather than enter the thread naturally and let his position emerge without a preconceived notion.

This doesn’t feel like a read formed without TMI. I dislike the fact it’s expressed as “Wazza is town,” then when confronted, he calls it “gut I guess.” It seems lower-confidence than his initial presentation and looks like placating/downplaying.

On top of this, on top of everything I said, I want to be able to trust myself, to trust my own skills.

It’s not wolfy just because you’ve got it in your little perspective that “Wolf PKR does this” because guess what? Wazza herself said I do this as town too. And Wind was there saying similar things in my own defence.

I trusted my read into their tone. I trusted my ‘gut’. I read into their posts and I just tossed up whether it’s more likely from T!Wazza or W!Wazza and I have my own conclusion.

I’m sorry if you disagree, but that’s no reason to be against me and to be tag team voting me with your twin alt.

He’s bending over backwards for this read. I feel like this is too much for him/Wazza to be aligned, honestly. Half of his ISO is him doubling down on the Wazza read and getting mad when people disagree. This isn’t how a wolf treats their partner, for the simple reason they are both going to die if one flips.

There’s no real progression on these reads, but I don’t take much issue with that in terms of “does it make PKR wolfy?”

Time for PKR full reads list explanation. Starting with the top tier people:

Wazza: I hate to do the ‘I told you so’ thing, but, I really did. Wazza has bled towniness when people kept coming at and scumreading her to the point that I’d not want her dead even if they survive until end game because I feel like wolves could easily decide to do that just to try and make me change my mind. On top of this time were the easier posts when I was getting the whole ‘vibe check’ the ‘gut’ and all.

Arctic: This is my weakest of the 4 in this tier. However, I feel like Arctic’s posts in general remind me of their town games more than anything else. He did some fairly basic analysis into previous games and tried to evaluate that way (but some other ways too). Arctic’s reading of Wazza was one of the only things which made me “?” on him, but, I feel like that could be due to the fact I’m biased atm, the other one being that there was a lack of certainty in a fair few posts and it just felt like they were flip flopping and leaving room to wriggle out if needed.

Wind: This slot makes me internally scream due to the fact that as usual, Wind is a high poster. And I feel like this is just going to get worse as the game goes on. However, their posts remind me less of Umineko 2 (A game I’ve been directly looking at due to the fact it had f’y roles too) and more of Darling in the Franxx FM and FAM 3. One of the major posts which supported this was Wind harkening back to Umineko 2 in one of her posts, which I feel like would be a weird move for a wolf to do.

Alkali: Chloe, such a classic person to read and for me to internally scream about not misreading due to the fact I know how skilled she is. Chloe’s pushes have been very consistent and yet I have seen the usual Chloe doubting reads (and perhaps herself too). I remember Night not having vibed with Chloe’s reads before this game, but, I wouldn’t be too shocked if that was V/V (as is fairly typical on these forums). She had a really good opener to the day including her frustration during the early-game game state and has come to be fairly spotlighted and generally townread by most people. Furthermore, although it’s an old game, I still remember Chloe from Insurgency and don’t get the same vibes from her.

Rue: Posts were largely simple, some just single/two sentence posts and others just videos. The thing which frustrates me with them is simply there’s not much going on, they could expand on some things but this is the fault moreso of people like myself who have let them just be more casual. Rue also doesn’t remind me of Umineko 2 (Where IIRC they were scum). They’re not very combative but I’m worried that my townread could be partially biased by this lol

This honestly does look like he’s coming up with explanations after posting the reads, but I don’t see this as a smoking gun whatsoever. It’s equally likely he simply put these explanations in a notepad and decided not to attach them to his reads right away, as a villager. I used to do that myself.

The explanations confirm that PKR is still bending over backwards for Wazza’s sake, further deconfirming them being W/W.

The Arctic townread is odd. It contains the following arguments: “reminds me of his town games”; “did basic analysis into past games, but also other analysis” “his reading of Wazza is ?” “some posts lacked certainty.” I don’t think any of these arguments are noteworthy in any regard. Any player in a forum mafia game is expected to do basic analysis, and any player in a forum mafia game can be expected to lack certainty in things, regardless of alignment. This feels like a really nebulous read when you break it down into basic components. However, it feeling nebulous is why I townread it; it wouldn’t have to be so nebulous if PKR were mafia, since TMI would aid him in making it less nebulous.

The Wind read is strictly “aaa highposter” and “but her posts remind me of her towngames, especially since she harkened back to Umineko 2.” So basically, strictly a meta read.

Alkali he’s apparently scared of misreading, but she’s been playing “normally” and “had a very good opener” and “I don’t get the same vibes as Insurgency.” He also “wouldn’t be shocked if Night/Chloe was V/V.” Noting that meta plays a part in this again, but not the dominating part.

Rue, “there is not much going on,” and “posts are simple,” but “does not remind me of their Umineko 2 scumgame,” but also “they are not very combative and my townread could be too strong for that reason.” Again, meta here, but…

I think the reads are all fine? Nothing sticks out to me as wolfy.

Him using small text in some posts could be read as performative, but I see this as PKR indicative.

Conclusion: at the very least, I doubt PKR is W/W with Wazza. Personally, I’m actually leaning town on him.
