[Class Suggestion] New Faction: The REVOLT

Butler:

  • "I did poison the King! Wait, he knows Toady can heal him. Evil King’s framing me. :frowning: "
  • “You wanted me to occupy you? Sorry, we must’ve been Ear Plugged before you said it.”
  • “I tried to visit you but I got redirected to (random number) and prevented.”
  • Literally any other random lie, like “I DID occupy him. He’s Scorned.”

Drunk:

  • “You wanted me to debauch you? Sorry, we must’ve been Ear Plugged before you said it.”
  • “I debauched him like I was asked, and I got attacked. He’s a zero IQ NK, lol!”
  • Literally any other random lie, like “I DID debauch him. He’s Scorned.”

Noble:

  • “If I make someone accuse, the Warlord’s going to Usurp King’s finger. They’re setting us up to get someone executed. Nice try.”
  • “You wanted me to use a day ability on who? We must’ve been Ear Plugged.”
  • “I tried to visit you but I got redirected to (random number) and prevented.”
  • Literally any other random lie, like having a Revolt member vote, then say you forced them.

Observer & Psychic

  • Literally all that same stuff.

I come from a ‘school’ of thought that people should be able to lie and think on their feet no matter what, so I don’t really see the problem with “trying to buy time” and stuff like that. It’s all part of the way these games work.

Again, I’d ask if you have any solutions or ideas you want to offer.

All of your earplug situations are null if 2 people say it. And if you were clearly responding to them (like if they made you quote them asking you to occupy the target).

Have you ever actually tried doing that as CL/MM/Assassin? It almost never works.

This won’t work for butler and drunk they are redirect immune.

Coming up with lies, countering the lies, and trying to get out of it are kind of how social deduction games work. You’re saying “people might discover you’re evil” as if that means something?

Would you like to suggest an edit, such as “bypassing immunity”, then?

I usually don’t like this method because if one of the revolts die they both die, basically outing 2 revolts.

Doesn’t matter if you like it, I’m listing possibilities.

If you get converted as psychic non of those excuses would work same thing thing as observer.

I’m going to have to call it here. If you have a change you want made, feel free to say so. Otherwise, it’s going to be a big waste of time to have the “you might be discovered” argument forever. Discovering people and getting discovered isn’t a problem. Period.

You do remember that it also means that anyone who DOES do any of those things is auto confirmed BD right?

And when you fail their tests the BD just rolls their eye’s and executes you no matter what.

Who would you claim to have occupied/redirected instead?

That’s blatantly false. Also, are you liking your own replies…?

I think this could be a viable option to fix a problem.

@NuclearBurrito is doing that and you can’t like your own replies. Even if you get redirected as psychic you could still link someone. Maybe annoy might work as obs but that is about it.

If you will always be able to determine that anyone that is claiming a class like butler/drunk/noble/obs is telling the truth that means that the liers will always not be one of those claims. That leads to PoV methods and also makes it nearly impossible to cause mislynches.

“I linked him like you asked, he’s lying. Scorned.” Multiple excuses apply, saying none do was false.

You guys need to suggest changes or move on, tbh.

Your right this is what we need to do.

Add more conversions with ability’s that help them fake their previous classes.

Every conversion I add will either have identical abilities to the original class, or it will have a way to prove they’re no longer the original class. That would solve nothing. Every converted class would have the “you could tell they’re converted by…” clauses. Any other ideas?

Not every ability is confirmable. Get it as close as possible while still being unique with the leeway.

Invoker is a great example of what I mean.

Sure you CAN figure out that an Invoker is converted. But you need to do more than just glance at his logs and ask for confirmation.
