The regent king
Neutral special
Passive: Tenacity
Immune to occupation
Day ability: royal finger
(infinite uses) your next accusation of treason will count twice.
Day ability: Pass the torch
(1 use) Select a player to become the new king. You will step down and become the chamberlain again.
Night ability: Friends

Night ability: Guards!
(4 uses) send a guard to protect the target.

goal: same as the chamberlain’s.

  1. I wanted a class to balance out the king’s alliance.
  2. I thought the idea of a regent would be cool

NOTE: the chamberlain does not know what his allegiance is until the original king dies.

I like like this, though does the pass the torch make them evil king if you have to win with Unseen or does it correspond with their current alignment?

corresponding with their alignment

corresponding with their alignment

to OP to change it

Can I get some other feedback on this class?

Give the Regent king Ally’s! (The ability I mean)

Only the original king has that ability

This is already a different class from the normal king. Besides, owhy use pass the torch if you don’t know who is on your side? Why even be king when that just makes you a target?

One strategy I thought of was as evil chamberlain to pass on the title of king to the prince, so he can’t execute or jail any more.

Another as neutral king (or any king) would be to give it to the NK in the end game.

More votes, gives you guards

I’m going to give him an allies ability (similar to)

Wait isn’t that useless if your neutral?

This role is always hostile with good/evil king except for the neutral one, yes?

Another question, so if player like yourself manage to become regent king but then you decide to pass the torch to someone and this king is either BD or Unseen/Cult, do you have to re-do the winning condition to lynch the new selected king again in order to win or is this fullfilled already and just survive?

keyword: original

your goal is dependent on the ORIGINAL king only.

Oh ok.

Edited friends ability

Basically “you will become the neutral king” there’s little to no difference and there’s no point in creating a duplicate King class.

So basically if you know who the Court Wizard or Hunter is, you just give them infinite of their limited abilities. They’re limited for a reason and shouldn’t be given more uses of any of them. Same goes for the scum classes.

Such originality in your ideas, I can’t think of anywhere I’ve seen this ability.

It’s mostly good now. Some of the base classes abilities are weird but someone else already commented on that

Your point about the regent king isn’t valid. The regent king has some very important differences from a normal king.

The Pass the Torch day ability isn’t good. It’s dangerous and can screw over a faction.

IE: Targetting Prince, Mastermind, Cult Leader, any power classes that exist.

Then you’re essentially confirming yourself, which isn’t good at all. No class should ever be able to solidly confirm themselves to everyone.

Don’t you sometimes WANT to screw over a faction? And revealing yourself is a downside.
