This could be simplified a lot. Here’s what it could become:

You will have the same targets if you become a scorned. Does not work if the targets are dead

A limit would be bad. What if it’s a cult + reaper game? I’ve seen some games where nobody has died on day four yet.
It’s not. It prevents random lynches and gives scum counterplay to confirmed investigators.
They won’t know if he chooses BD. He can claim to choose BD, but that doesn’t mean that he’s telling the truth.
But if it wasn’t there this would suffer from the same issue as knight. There’s no way to confirm themselves so they would be frequently executed. And the neuts out mentality that some players have is annoying, it’s not uncommon for someone to be executed just because they’re a neut.
