[Class Suggestion] The Peasant

No worries, I think lots of people were not expecting a Neutral Special. Do you have any other suggestions for the Peasant?

Sorry, man, I’d normally have 300 different ideas on how to balance your classes but I kinda gave up hope on all of our suggestions. I don’t think the devs are actually gonna pay attention to any of it.
Btw, night 5 is okay. Sorry, buddy, I really am.

Why does he kill himself after a certain period of time? There is already incentive to choose a class sooner rather than later because if you die before choosing a class then you cannot win.

Nah they’ll see eventually, and I mean, it’s fun for me to come up with this stuff

And @NuclearBurrito Well that’s if they end up dragging the game out long or waiting until the very end to choose; it’s just another incentive to choose quickly.

How would they? The game would end if they have chosen or not.

@NuclearBurrito True, but it’s just to make it so Peasant can choose early and not just befriend an alch and wait until the very end to bandwagon onto the winning team.

What’s wrong with that? The alch doesn’t have any good reason to help him anyway because he can’t defend the alch.

The unseen however has good reason to kill them in order to prevent a second prince from spawning

@NuclearBurrito Then what are you trying to say, that he should have no passive that would automatically kill him? I’m just curious

Yes that’s what I am saying

I would simplify the parameters to: If the target was defiled then you cannot become them. You cannot become a unique class that is currently alive. You cannot become king. You cannot make the Cult/Unseen go above its member limit. You cannot become a class that has already won unless it is fool. If you become scorned you will have the same targets. If you become merc you will get to choose a target but you cannot get a second.

You would be surprised. The Sorcerer and Inquisitor were class suggestions initially.

Okay, but that’s basically a simplified version of my parameters?

I’m totally onboard with this. No need for passive, even though I suggested it myself lmao.

Here are a few other changes that it could use:

  1. Add a passive that allows it to talk to the dead. This would allow the dead to influence who they become. It would also give another reason for the dead to stay.
  2. Peasant should be able to become a fool.
  3. You should be able to become an assassin/cult leader if there are no unseen/cult left alive.
  4. Give it the Retribution(if you are found guilty of treason then you will kill the first person to accuse you) passive. This will prevent it from being an easy execution as it will be easy to fake claim

You are correct and its kinda the point

I like your passive ideas but changed one. Letting the Peasant talk to the dead would basically confirm it to Psychics every singlw time, so what I did was that the Peasant can hear the dead but not respond.

From simply a flavor perspective, it seems to me the peasant should not be able to become a royal blood class.

I thought of this idea at first, but it would be widely useful for a Peasant to become another Prince who dies early on. Unless there are others who would think the same as you.

Why would you add this? No! Please! There is no reason for the Peasant to hear the dead other than to empower himself. This totally tips off the balance.

I’m really okay with all parameters.

I don’t understand this. They should just become the class that the target appears to be.

Aren’t these the same thing, but the second one is just more specific?

There shouldn’t be a limit to this.
