[Class Suggestion] The Volunteer | The Untrained

The Volunteer (Blue Dragon Killer)

Passive: Training - If you are recruited by a Sheriff, you will gain Convert Immunity as a Knight.

Passive: Shameful conduct - If you kill a member of the Blue Dragon, you will be stripped of your weapons and be unable to kill.

Night Ability 1: Fealty (infinite uses)
Attack somebody tonight, killing them. If they are Immune to Death, they will be told who you are but attacking again directly after will kill them.

Night Ability 2: Defensive Position (2 uses)
Stand guard in your room tonight, you will gain immunity to everything tonight but you are still visited. You won’t be told of any results though.
Notes: Death immune, Occupy immune, Conversion immune, etc

#The Untrained (Unseen Offensive)

Night Ability 1: Accident prone (Infinite)
Falsely attack somebody. The person you target will be told they were attacked but protected.

Night Ability 2: Deceive (Infinite)
You will occupy your target tonight but they will be told “Something prevented you from visiting your target tonight”

Day Ability 1: Daybloom (3 uses)
Expose your target to a harmless plant. The target will think they were Poisoned by Nightshade.

Not really as if that keeps happening to someone they will realise that it is a Untrained blocking them, as it is unlikely you KEEP visiting the Court Wizard´s target. Servant can hide as other roleblockers easier.

Neither is much better than the other; they are both stronger and weaker in different scenarios which is what you want.

I don’t like the RNG element of Accident Prone though.

the servant just occupies someone; the untrained occupies them but makes them think something else happened,also untrained has more abilities.

Soulcatcher has RNG, you can’t choose where the souls go to get results.

I really like the Volunteer and I think it would be a decent addition to FoL. I don’t really like the Untrained though, as all of it’s abilities seem to give away it’s existence and I do not like RNG.

Which is why a lot of people in the community do not like the Soulcatcher.

Nothing wrong with a bit of RNG though

In a game based on strategy and manipulation RNG is a trash mechanic.

Somebody randomly being told that they were attacked but saved is worth imo

Just make it so he can choose his target, it still would not be that strong of an ability but might actually have a practical use.

You know absolutely nothing if you think Untrained is better than Servant. Just because it has more abilities? Please.

Servant has a decent scum claim for Butler.
Servant also is immune to Occupation.

ATM there is very little reason to use Accident Prone over Deceive except in very special circumstances.

Ahem:

servant can: occupy, make someone speak gibberish (which can be fixed if they just but spaces between letters) and is immune to being occupied

untrained: make a player think that they were healed/defended (which makes no sense as the knight would be dead the next day and physician’s heal would have said “you were healed”), occupy a player but make them think a mercenary stopped them, and confuse the court with fake poisonings, distracting the physician.

Every Class has different abilities with different outcomes. No class is better than another. They’re all different.

Actually Psychic is still by far the best BD convertable role imo.

But yeah this role is certainly not just a better servant

Of the classes in the game, I would agree. I disagree if you mean “No classes in the game, nor any classes I have suggested.”

Just saying that “every class is different” does not justify making a class that is better than one that is in the game.
