Completely remove Pretender or a overhaul with new objective

That means you don’t have to purely rely on scumreading elected Kings, since the BD would need to already be convinced beforehand into electing them, at which point mechanical information was still a thing that can be used, fact checked and manipulated.

Also it’s impractical to prevent elected neutral kings from existing, whereas removing starting neutral king is very easy seeing as we already did it.

Starting neutral King also fucks up the spawnrate for king.

If you want the starting king dead then you don’t necessarily give a shit about non-starting kings.

At any given moment a competent neutral king will be playing like one of the other 2 Kings depending on who he wants to win.

Hows that a bad thing?

First of all it means the Neutral King doesn’t actually add anything meaningful, since at that point they may as well just spawn as a faction and act like that faction that way.

Second of all it means that in a turbo setting they are impractical to scumread. Since the difference between a BD King and a Neutral King that is currently helping BD is extremely tiny. On a forum spotting it might be plausible, but not in a turbo setting where people often struggle to even scumread regular scum.

Neutral king adds a aspect of survival that no other king has and adds a option to side with someone.

You can scum read neutral king just like you can scum read Evil Kings.

The option to side with anyone doesn’t add anything inherently. Since the King resolves as either BD or Evil depending on who he’s siding with anyways.

Basically:

A: Neutral King sides with BD - Why not just spawn a BD King to the same effect?

B: Neutral King sides with Evil - Why not just spawn an Evil King to the same effect?

C: Neutral King sides with BD and then switches to Evil later - Now you have an Evil King that is immune to scumreading. Why? Because avoiding being scumread is actually pretty easy, the problem is that the most reliable way to do so is to peruse the town’s objective, which if you are scum is counterproductive even if you don’t get caught. However a Neutral King can afford to genuinely help BD and then switch to genuinely switching to Evil when he get’s the chance. An EK trying the same thing will also have to ensure that such a chance actually occurs and those attempts give something for the BD to scumread before it’s too late.

A Neutral King can afford act identically to a BD King, while an Evil King cannot.

And Survival just boils down to:

A Neutral King will never act like a GK because they will care about own survival while BD doesn’t

Alchemist also has a different self defense ability from phys and doesn’t have either exhume or inoculate.

Inoculate in particular is confirmable with a Hunter.

Yes but you can pratically confirm yourself as Physician as Alchemist in a lot of cases and what if you don’t have a hunter?
