I don’t understand why you would argue that death notes must either be copyable or disabl2d for ranked .
currently there are strategies that are possible within the current system and changing the system would make different strategies available .
but the crux is their is no inherent issue with the current system . it is a flat and level playing field and any player can use their own deathnote or not as they tactically choose to do so . They cannot however use other people’s death notes .This is a rule of the game . This is no different to any other established rule in the game.
the tactical advantages gained and lost by this being an established game rule make no difference to a casual game or a competitive game .
You have yet to prove why it is a detrement to the game and equality of play , but are alreadylooking to implement a change to fix a problem that does not exsist

It’s the killer’s decision to keep/change or even not create a deathnote; but I feel we’re going off-topic here. This is only a suggestion about copying deathnotes.

As for OTHER people (non-i42) using other people’s deathnotes … it’s not technically against the rules, but:
- It’s considered super douchey and frowned upon.
- SOMEONE will catch you and call you out, then you will likely be relentlessly shamed. We will not save you.
- IF you’re going to do something douchey like this, at LEAST credit them or ask them for permission.

i cant speak for others, but i was only talking about copy-ing already used deathnotes from a game for that game.
i dont really know how that changes things, but i wanted to put that out there
Tryphon made some point about the artists having the rights tot he drawings made in game.
They don’t.
Also, luxx, you are acting like I want to plagiarize your death notes for the glory of it. I don’t, I want to copy them so people think I am you, if that makes sense. I want to confuse the BD as an evil.
I am talking about copying a death note onto your death note for the duration of the game, no storage between games.
I want to do it so that I can pretend to be another killer class, not so that I get the glory of a good death note.
