At this point, I’d say my towncore is myself, Arete, Seth, and Leafia. I have already made my argument, Seth is, quite obviously, in his townmeta, and Leafia has been trending upwards for most of day 2 despite being mostly inactive day 1.

I’d be fine in executing in about here today. SDA being an inactive wolf might explain why there was such little traction on a wolf wagon.

@Arete Why did you jump to calling for a CFD on Wazza when you had other scum reads?

I’d been trying to CFD Leafia and it hadn’t really worked because too many people TR’d her

I really wanted to CFD someone to save cloned, because I was pretty sure cloned was town, which meant I needed a CFD that anyone would actually be willing to vote. Wazza was one of a handful of people that I found actively wolfy (as opposed to them just not doing anything) and I thought people might actually go along with it (which I needed them to in order to save cloned)

the last one I think is more likely to come from scum. the thing about complaining about the thread being dead is that it’s super easy to do from any alignment’s PoV since it doesn’t require producing any actual content, but it doesn’t actually do anything to make the thread not be dead . additionally, by recognizing that the problem is a problem but not actually doing anything to change it, it points to them willfully not doing anything to change it, rather than just being really busy or something.

the first post is near-word-for-word how I’ve seen him handle my slot in previous games, I also think a player at his experience level would be uncomfortable with pushing on a perceived-strong-player (especially given that 90 percent of the game is LHFy)

I think him asking questions to me points to him trying to solve my slot, rather than just trying to make a push on me to look like he’s doing something

I think him actually considering my responses to him and semi-reevaluating also points to him actually trying to solve my slot, wolves tend to have a harder time faking general progressions

also this is a really dumb take but I think his use of small text in P#297 is slightly villagery, it matches how I would expect him to feel about making a read that he’s worried is silly

second reason is kind of dumb but it exists

oh yeah that’s definitely just my personality and how i talk to people. if someone asks me something i’m able to do, of course i’ll eagerly comply.
it’s D1, any analysis we can make is helpful and i’m more than happy to do it!

I think this post is much more likely to come from a villager, that sort of just-barely-not-angleshooting post is the sort of thing town is much more likely to pick up on than scum is

the last reason I’m sort of conflicted on but I think his push on Alice is more likely to come from town than scum

this reason was one I was kind of hesitant about because, like, in a vacuum focusing a lot on the 3p claim is kind of meh

but I think scum would be less likely to actively push the 3p in this set-up (and more likely to just make a bunch of vaguely performative posts about trying to solve them), I think cheese genuinely believes that the 3p is more likely to scumside and so I think he’s less likely to push her as scum (because why would you push the claimed 3p as scum if you’re expecting them to scumside)

there are also a couple elements of his read on her that I also think are more likely to come from town than from scum

3. Alice is scum. Then either they or their teammates would try and convince the noot.

for instance, I think him specifically thinking about worlds where she’s scum as opposed to where she’s neut points to him not having TMI about her neut-ness or lack thereof, like, if scum wants to push on Alice the easiest way to do that is to just be like ‘Alice is claimed non-town and probably siding scum, vote Alice’

I also think (similarly to his read on me) that he would probably not choose to push on Alice as scum, when Alice is a perceived-strong-player

i have a theory here

say scum knew that everyone would think Arete to be the nightkill, an obvious SPK. and then they simply kill Insanity instead to have us all questioning why Arete isn’t dead instead and waste quite a bit of time doing so, throwing doubt on arguably one of the best players on this site if town.
same theory i had with why Vulgard was left alive so long in WW.
