okay, I skimmed cheese’s Iso to try to sort him and I’m feeling pretty okay about him being town
I’m dividing this up point-by-point rather than post-by-post for readability’s sake
the first reason is how he handled his read on me
relevant posts
the first post is near-word-for-word how I’ve seen him handle my slot in previous games, I also think a player at his experience level would be uncomfortable with pushing on a perceived-strong-player (especially given that 90 percent of the game is LHFy)
I think him asking questions to me points to him trying to solve my slot, rather than just trying to make a push on me to look like he’s doing something
I think him actually considering my responses to him and semi-reevaluating also points to him actually trying to solve my slot, wolves tend to have a harder time faking general progressions
also this is a really dumb take but I think his use of small text in P#297 is slightly villagery, it matches how I would expect him to feel about making a read that he’s worried is silly
second reason is kind of dumb but it exists
I think this post is much more likely to come from a villager, that sort of just-barely-not-angleshooting post is the sort of thing town is much more likely to pick up on than scum is
the last reason I’m sort of conflicted on but I think his push on Alice is more likely to come from town than scum
this reason was one I was kind of hesitant about because, like, in a vacuum focusing a lot on the 3p claim is kind of meh
but I think scum would be less likely to actively push the 3p in this set-up (and more likely to just make a bunch of vaguely performative posts about trying to solve them), I think cheese genuinely believes that the 3p is more likely to scumside and so I think he’s less likely to push her as scum (because why would you push the claimed 3p as scum if you’re expecting them to scumside)
there are also a couple elements of his read on her that I also think are more likely to come from town than from scum
for instance, I think him specifically thinking about worlds where she’s scum as opposed to where she’s neut points to him not having TMI about her neut-ness or lack thereof, like, if scum wants to push on Alice the easiest way to do that is to just be like ‘Alice is claimed non-town and probably siding scum, vote Alice’
I also think (similarly to his read on me) that he would probably not choose to push on Alice as scum, when Alice is a perceived-strong-player
I did read the OP, but I didn’t see the noot RC posted.
The problem is getting all 3 wolves out to begin with, as we tend to have a problem with that on this site. If you are truthful side with them it would be even harder. Is that hard to understand?
To make people think you are townsiding. If you became a towny just because you townsided as per your RC then you would just claim town.
I simply don’t trust you
Wrong, you can prevent the wolves from getting killed by leading to villagers instead
I want to trust you, but I can’t. The anger does feel genuine, but I won’t read you just on that
My thought process is that if you scum side you won’t count towards the parity, so by living long enough we would have to let you openwolf and go after the wolves all the while you use your thread influence to get rid of LHF villagers. Like I hope you can see where I am coming from
That’s right because your claim pinged me the most and it was 4 AM, but I plan on making more reads and non Alice related posts after this one
Why is Arete so low for you? I haven’t read them yet, but why are they so low for you?
Unless you can prove that you are actually townsiding I want you dead and it’s that simple and I have only been mislynched a few times
Then read my ISO. I’ve actually been doing far more than you are as I’m actually solving slots while you done nothingn but suggest a PL on me the entire day so far.
can you make some reads on people who aren’t Alice? Isoing Alice for ‘is she siding town or scum’ doesn’t really help me read you since it’s most likely not something scum has TMI on
with that being said: if(/when) I die overnight don’t treat the bottom section as some sort of privileged category full of wolves that you should sheep, my wolfreads are not going to be particularly good in this gamestate and I’m not actually convinced that ‘people who are pinging me’ is likely to contain more wolves than ‘people who I have as null’
and ‘killing people who are somewhat wrong’ is, uh, a known wolf tactic on this site because people have shifted towards privileging NK
