Ok here goes, ISO on Arctic. FYI I haven’t read Vulgard’s ISO on Arctic and I won’t read it until after I post this to avoid bias/sheeping.
I think this is NAI. Arctic was quick to read people in the 9er and he actually started by scumreading everyone in the game and then letting their posts/actions determine whether they moved upward from there. It was an interesting strategy and pretty towny. This reply made me think he’s planning to do the same thing in this game, but I’m also getting different pings from him after this.
I’m not sure if this is in contradiction to what he said above about solving things early, or if it’s just because this was so early in the thread.
Not sure how to read this tbh.
He did this in the last game to min and Kiro as I recall lol. Didn’t like too much talking, didn’t like memeing or spewing nonsense. I personally see this as NAI for Arctic.
This seemed weird and kind of out of place.
I didn’t see him voice anything specific about the higher posters at that point and I find it a bit concerning. He then proceeded to scumlean Solic and townlean Worse.
This seems ok to me (and I’m not just saying that becuase it pertains to me lol). For that matter, Arctic didn’t know what a lost wolf was, so at the very least I’m guessing he’s not a lost wolf. He isn’t giving off lost wolf pings imo, anyway, and I’m actually thinking at this point he’s more likely neut/NK than wolf. (If I’m totally getting this wrong and not understanding how the neuts function in this game, feel free to tell me.)
This is exactly what Arctic did on D1 in the 9er. He pushed me because I was a wolfy townie and said there was no reason to keep me around even if I was town because I’d just sheep bad votes and ultimately cost the town (and he was right about the bad votes lol). I’d consider it a somewhat townlean statement from him, but for that matter I could also see it working for pretty much any alignment, despite comparing it to his previous game.
This confuses me. It was in response to Eevee saying that Arctic was wrong for suggesting we vote out people who are either not contributing to the town or are wolves.
For that matter, Eevee’s response also confused me when he said “not everyone has to be leading / some people have to be followers” because that seems like a weird mindset to have as town, and I can’t fault Arctic for questioning it.
This response to Eevee seems appropriate, though.
This is literally what Arctic says he’s trying to do, except in that earlier post where he said he was just gonna agree with the reads on the high posters and not really give any more input on them while focusing instead on the low posters. It seems like a bit of a contradiction to me.
For the record, I disagree with Eevee on this. But since I’m focusing on Arctic at the moment, I’m going to say his reply here seems ok. But for that matter, I don’t see him posting his thoughts yet at this point. I see him interrogating others (particularly Sculptor, Eevee and AT) on their posts but I don’t see him actually giving a read on them. He was pretty quick in the 9er to give me a scumread after interrogating me, and I’m not seeing him jump into accusation mode as quickly here.
Here we go again, Arctic is agreeing with Kyo and me on a lack of posting being indicative of anti-town (i.e. wolf or neut). He elaborates a bit on his viewpoint after that, and basically he’s kind of saying the same thing as in the 9er when wolf!Gorta was making up excuses. I think he sees the same pattern with Majora here (and so do I), but I also feel like Arctic is putting in less effort in this game than in the 9er. Not sure if it’s because we have 24 people right now and it’s honestly a bit overwhelming, or if it’s because Arctic can’t 100% copy his townplay as a non-townie.
This is the last thing I see from Arctic right now (still interrogating Sculptor) and then he just dipped for 19 hours. Can’t tell if it’s because his current interrogation targets were afk (Sculptor and Majora) or if he was busy, or if he’s just doing something fishy in the meantime. The sudden drop in postcount is a little alarming to me but I really shouldn’t be judging people on their activity levels, and it does look like Arctic is currently typing something lengthy.
Anyway, I’m not getting too many town vibes from Arctic. He does some amount of mimicking D1 from his previous game, but not to the same level of involvement or pushing. He’s pushing less here imo.
That being said, I don’t see anything I’d consider extremely scummy, either, for now. Suspicious, maybe, but not scummy. I could be pointing fingers in the wrong direction but I’m thinking Arctic is a neutral and not scum. (I could say “better as a vig target than a lynch target” but you guys are getting tired of vig speculation and as far as you know, I’m not the vig anyway to make that call.) Of course, Arctic could just be trying to cover as a wolf by simply avoiding looking scummy but also not looking particularly towny, either. I got strong town vibes from him in the 9er because he pushed me for pretty logical reasons and refused to get off me even when I outed as PR, but he’s just… not that pushy here.

he’s now just said that he likely isn’t going to do this before EoD so a similar case with majora/sculpt, saying he’s going to do something but not actually doing it

a lot of this behaviour is reminiscent of how he acted in the pokemon 9er, mainly with the lack of presence/inconsistency
lack of presence is probably NAI for gorta, but the inconsistency about what they can and can’t read gives me a bad feeling about this slot
windward is either towncore material or the best wolf i have ever seen on this planet
