CW needs to be buffed

Bring back some form of barrier that the CW can grant to someone that prevents their death or prevents others from visiting him, from any/some old iteration of this class. Keep the 3 tornados.

right now, empower is such a weak skill in general usage and pretty boring (outside of niche situations like you being in a pact with a known butler or something empowering him every night to make him immune and clear minding him etc)

on top of this, CW claims are very weak claims, probably about the same as claiming knight if nobody alive happened to visit anyone you swapped to know if you did or didnt swap

Restore CW to a claim that gives off the impact of “woah this guy claims court wizard” similar to someone claiming hunter or at least butler, rather than “oh just a CW claim, probably evil and otherwise not very useful so let’s hang him to get narrow down the list”

That would actually be a good thing but

this is relatively uncommon

it’s pretty common because CW can only make 3 swaps the entire game.

If CW had something other than just the weak/boring empower that it has right now for an infinite use night ability, then you could confirm yourself as at least CW or a CW convert and not some other completely unrelated scum claiming CW.

you’ve missed the point of the original post which talks about the ‘empower’ skill. it’s irrefutably weak and is holding the class back influence wise.

In my experience, CWs with successful swaps don’t tend to get executed unless it’s a Cult game. It’s much rougher for Knights.

Agreed, I would still prefer the generic empower for CW(guarantee that your target’s actions are successful and accurate). It’s less boring, less complicated, not redundant, and more useful(IMO)/versaitille. Tornado should also be replaced with 3 uses of the old ice ward since tornado is more of an offensive ability and tornado is a bit confirmable.

It’s basically stand guard, but it should be able to target the same player multiple times in a row since it would be limited use

IMO that seems overpowered and boring. I do agree about Empower though.

I mean it’s overpowered for a Blue Dragon class. It’s not a problem for Mercenary because nobody trusts him anyway.

But what makes it overpowered?

The Sheriff that found Assassin N1, you can prevent him from death, conversion, and even occupation for as many nights as you have uses of Ice Ward.

But it’s only 3 uses. And you can also occupy/redirect the CW

And it would also prevent positive effects. If it only prevented negative effects/attacks then it would be OP

It used to do that and be unlimited use

But all of the positive effects are designed to counter negative effecs which this is already doing but better.

That’s why it would only have 3 uses. It could be lowered to 2 if needed

I’d prefer to keep tornado if only because it adds possibility space while ice ward does not
