Like, we should be thunderdomed right now so unless Marshal is exactly a WC who needs to get themselves mis-exe’d or a MM trying to go all-or-nothing on me then the Blackened is exactly within us.
As I said before, the blanket exonerates me so it means that Marshal is lying. Why would he lie to get a spotless mis-exe’d during the class trial?

I’ll start with this so I can kinda see exactly what you both think.
I mean, if you consider this the actual reality here then why would MM!Marshal do something so foolish as this?
In the slim case that he is a WC then we’ll just have to take the mistrial since our entire investigation was done with the idea that everyone outside of us two are not the culprit.
My best guess?
She hid in her dorm and waited for zone to leave my room. When he did, she smothered him with a blanket (to stop his screams) (like how they put a bag over people’s heads), took him to the library, and hung him there, all before night started.
That’s my guess.
That’d be the only time she could strike and could be how she got in to the library in the first place, why the blanket itself was used, and why the blanket was under the rope during the kill.

Proof by contradiction.
He claims that I had a blanket in my private slot. This has been proven as false, then Marshal is lying. Since there is no reason to lie to get a spotless mis-exe’d then he is the Blackened.

How can alice be spotless when I’m spotless. She’s saying I lied about the blanket, which is a lie, and no spotless would lie about me.
It’s obvious, because It’s not me and alice is saying it’s me, so it’s alice.
The lack of prints on the blanket completely contradict this possibility.
The fact that Zone had rope-burn on his neck and died to strangulation rather than asphyxiation contradicts this possibility.
There is evidence that I never touched the blanket. It’s not a he-said-she-said argument anymore since we have evidence from Eli.
like actually the more that I think about it the more that it makes sense.
Her doing it just before night would make the range really hard to nail, and how she got into the library, and why the blanket was used, and it’d be the only time she could get zone and it’d be why zone didn’t scream either.
It makes sense
The fingerprints don’t. It can be explained away, just not easily. It’s a point in her favor (that she’s milking really hard) and I genuinely can’t say with confidence exactly how she did it, just that she did, or eli is lying or is wrong.
How?
It clears me. Since you can’t explain why a blanket that allegedly has been in my private slot has none of my prints, then you are outed as a liar.

Zone was in private quarters, and was not going to enter the library as he told me he was going to his dorm (and like if you don’t trust me he said he was going to do it in fire PM)
People would have heard a scream unless it was stopped in some way, no?
And that’s where the blanket comes in
Alice covered zone’s face with the blanket and dragged him to the library, where she hung him, still covered in the blanket.
The way she got into the library was because it was still unlocked, and did it all in the course of the 5 minutes before night began.
It’s also probably why the ToD was obscured because I was with zone riiight before the murder and to give the timeframe would have immediately PoE’d it hard.
Zone was last seen with Marshal heading to Marshal’s quarters.
Before heading to his dorm Marshal ambushed Zone, which would not be impossible since he didn’t have any burn wounds on his arms, Zone was dazed, and it was nighttime, knocking him out or outright killing him.
Then Marshal took Zone to the Library, dragged him via the blanket if you subscribe to the “too weak from burns” route, and then hung him by climbing the stairs.
App himself said that Marshal could hang Zone if he was creative, so Zone hanging absolutely does not absolve Marshal, and he may have been hung just so it would make Marshal look like he could not have done the crime.
