Me, they don’t look townie to me…
But I can’t straightforwardly accuse because – at the same time, they’re both NA to me.
I do feel they deserve some attention. They are certainly flying under the radar right now.

Based on their early day 1 interactions not really. Merc jumped on TC erika because Merc thought they were a new player. They retracted their claim upon realization. The whole act actually drew more suspicon towards them so I woudn’t really put that as a reason to W/W them
Most definitely. As scum, they slip under the radar. And as town it’s not contributing to scum hunting.

Lol. I do love being turned on to new ideas. I could ramble for days about cool little concepts. A guy in a bar a few months back turned me onto one called ‘as a man thinketh’ which had the interesting idea of looking at decisions as a series of events instead of a single one. When people are in a bad place they usually blame 1 incident but that incident is usually the result of a series of thoughts and choices that lead them to that point. That by focusing on those macro patterns in your life you have greater control over its direction and acknowledging such patterns shifts your lotus of control.
If you guys do have some kinda book club thing here post game Im gona have to jump in : )
(And sorry for the rambling tangent. I have trouble shutting up sometimes)

I guess I should reconsider my w/w hypothesis then. It was said Erika is experienced. Merc should have known that if they were scum buddies.

Appeal to Emotion.
The little bit of formal persuasion education I have studied broke it down as one of the major styles of appeals.
I very much dislike it because its usually leveraging either fear or the other persons empathy. I feel that leveraging someone’s empathy is a very predatory action thats become way too common in our society in many respects.

I have a discord group where you are able to speak politics, maybe because almost everyone from there can’t be offended because all of them are liberal it’s refreshing that you can talk to some people about touchy subjects.
Can you give me an example of leveraging empathy
