The reason this whole thing started is because somebody used the word ‘lynch’ in an acceptable context and they decided to breach game integrity for it while they were losing.
They had previously used the word lynch.
I highly suspect it to be an excuse just to breach game integrity but you can research the thread for yourself if you’d like.

I might be half asleep but I can’t help but notice things are being semi blown out of proportions, so I wanna step in and remind everyone that we are not punishing people for using the word lynch - we are just taking a public stance and asking that people take into consideration that it may offend others.
We aren’t forcing anyone to do anything, here

my understanding of the situation is that it’s less ‘someone broke game integrity because they were upset about the word, we need to ban the word to prevent people from blatantly violating game integrity’ and more ‘someone broke game integrity because they were upset about the word, everyone was like “…why are we still using this word when people have been expressing concerns about it for literal years”’

I’m not privy to that much information on the happenings of other forums, but I can’t recall the issue ever being raised in such a scale beforehand
But we still describe vigilantes ‘Shooting’ people, ‘Serial killers’ stabbing and they leave targets ‘Dead’.
Some town killers if they kill town can end up ‘Committing suicide’

Me throwing fireworks near a veteran? Sure, jerk move. Should be banned.
Me enjoying fireworks in my own space and a veteran walks in demanding I stop? No.

There is medical condition associated with that to veteran, is there not?
Their inability (I think that’s where this is going) to distinguish what happened there from fireworks is because of diagnosable medical issue
