Do you respond to class requests?

It’s early game. Someone who hasn’t claimed or been confirmed as far as you know asks for your class in whisper. What do?

  • Tell them your class no questions asked
  • Tell them your class only if it isn’t high value (not prince/social)
  • Make them claim first and respond if they do
  • Make them claim first and only respond if their class is confirmable
  • Make them claim first and only respond if you are low value
  • Make them claim first and only respond if you are low value and they are confirmable
  • Refuse to claim/Don’t respond
  • Other (write in below)

It depends very much, usually I ask “why?”. If I did nothing wrong and I am not important, I claim.

My mindset tends to be that someone whispering me is more likely to be good than bad (statistically. BD is majority after all) and if I can get information out of the deal then why not? If they happen to have reason to be sus of me then not claiming will just get me voted up which negates the point of not claiming in the first place

I chose other. If someone unknown whispers me asking for my class, I will probably try to trick them if I’m evil (if I’m Hunter I will probably try to trick them also). If I’m good, I probably won’t claim but I will still make small talk with them.

However they can gain my trust in whispers without actually claiming, based on what they tell me.

Depends on a lot of factors, I don’t have a usual plan for this

I usually tell them my class but put in my logs I claimed to them (especially if I’m an important class) so they get sussed if I die the next day. I don’t claim as prince, however.

It matters. I’m more likely to claim to people asking me. But when I’m scum, my personal playstyle is to ask others to claim and then give them my “class” to justify the question. If you’re proactive with whispers, you can pocket BD easily.
