DR5 - Mirrored Embers - Chapter Six - Finale [Surviving Participants + Jane win]

You guys just forget that I get pissed off everytime I feel like I’m being pushed for a dumb reason regardless of what I am for some reason

(what sucks is that like

i usually try to look at these cases from different perspectives, and force others to do so

because the more angles we look at things the more likely it is we figure out the truth

in this case i feel like there’s… not very many to look at

was the killer at the observatory when the kill happened? evidence suggests it wasn’t necessary for them to be there, so it’s pretty unlikely they were unless they got like, specifically walked in on

we could look at it with the “the killer had to be there” hypothetical in mind, despite the fact it’s objectively false, and in that case our PoE is like, Arctic/Apprentice/TL/Tan – and if we overlap that with our current PoE of people who didn’t look at the ink voluntarily (min/CRichard/TL/eevee) then the overlap is TL

i guess one unanswered question is… why didn’t PKRs face get burnt? the entire suit caught on fire with him in it, after all

i don’t think the above question is strongly relevant but it’s… weird?)

wasn’t TL with other people elsewhere

lots of green ink on the head maybe

…maybe i should have used this on my eye

This is the same as a poison kill for solving and as I’ve said multiple times I hate solving them

(oh yeah i think he was on the research roof nvm that part)

(normally this wouldnt be a bad thing because it usually means we have the killer boxed in and have a ton of evidence that basically closes all other paths but the truth

but i still viberead it as not being that simple

meh)

(i mean you still have the ink do you not

i never recieved it)

Was on research roof light confirmed for atleast 10 hours prior to death

i don’t think what you’re doing is helpful when you just ask more questions instead of providing alternatives because all it does is cast doubt on TL being the killer but it doesn’t suggest anyone else

which really isn’t useful

it’s consistently been ‘hmmm this doesn’t make sense’ but no actual explanation

there has always been loose ends and we have to live with that

(im not really trying to be helpful/useful

im just explaining where my head is at in broad terms

it kind of helps me since writing it out makes me actively think about it more but shrug)

it’s very clearly not
there’s much more tangible evidence

See, out of all of PoE, I think only Steph does not have a “”""""“good”"""""" reason to have looked at the ink and exhibited a pain response.
Alicia has a semi-corroboratable (is that a word? It is now) alibi for inactivity, given that Alyx and I broke into her dorm and she was in fact doing the thing she claimed to do, compounded with the fact that we were outside of the door for a while, meaning that she at least wasn’t sneaking around during that time, and given how “in the middle” of the window between the Exisals’ appearance and the BDA that was, coupled with the fact that no one else saw her around campus really at all, means that she’s likely being honest about her claimed whereabouts.
Geoff was kinda treed, was noticeably present around the time Harleck and I tested whether the ink activated on sight or touch, but deigned not to take part in that experiment. This… actually isn’t terribly unreasonable, given that at that time we didn’t have reason to check for whether or not specific people were exempt from this effect.
Night was so damn treed that they literally have all of one post in the whole Deadly Life (still more than I posted in Ch3, but let’s move past that). This is the reason for all those quotation marks, but it at least offers an explanation for their not looking at the ink that isn’t “lol they didn’t want to”.
Steph, meanwhile, has a host of inconsistencies in her recounting of events related to searching PKR’s body and potentially triggering the ink, and has by far the highest equity of the four to actually have been exempt from the effects of the ink, despite us not actually having a super confirmed incident of Steph specifically looking at the ink, because she keeps trying to claim having done so in ways that we can disprove, and that only makes her look worse because then she’s just lying about it and why the hell lie in this situation unless you’re trying to hide a damning truth?

i dislike solving poison murders too but i still tried

you not showing resolve to solve the chapter 3 trial just proves you weren’t planning to play this game in the longterm

because you already found your murder weapon much earlier

Wallpost=Lockparticipant

(i think part of me is just at “surely it’s not as easy as ‘who looked at the ink and was like aaaaaaaaaaa’” but if i ignore that we have literally nothing

shrug

gonna think it over later i guess, maybe other people will have something to say somehow despite basically nobody actually leaving the observatory the entirety of deadly life

i should probably try to compile a post with as much objective info as i can

but i’m lazy

so someone else cna do that before me and it’d be nice)

No it means I just fucking hate them they are just unfun in their entirtidy so I just can’t get my brain to focus on them so I stop trying to

it might have been out of pity that we had literally found nothing plus it wasn’t a free solve because of trees / killer could pretend to tree since we discovered it so late

I also think eevee and Night are probably socially not the killer usually

and like while min hasn’t been convincing I don’t think they did it

green ink kept healing his face while he got scorched
