DR5 - Mirrored Embers - Chapter Six - Finale [Surviving Participants + Jane win]

Yeah, but this is gonna be N4, so In the Shadows no longer applies.

See, I make that joke, but then I think about it, and we actually did kinda have the first three chapters’ worth of loreclears mostly invalidated, so this is actually just Throne MM passive.

Let’s have our two highest MM suspects commit double unalive

That would help for sure.

who are those lol

I mean we’d have to discuss it

what could be a better time than now

I have a MM PoE of 8.
Which is pretty bad seeing it’s ch4.
:joy_cat:

And people decide to tree rather than you know try to pin down the MM.

that reminds me i need to give y’all that lore summary i was talking about since i got distracted earlier

There’s no better time than now if you ask me.

“Alright, well it started when I went down to the Tomb to see if any progress had been made on the Nietzsche puzzle, and I heard shouting coming from the skull room. I went over and found Dr. Kobayashi Asuka, the Super High School Level Moral Philosopher, one of the people listed on the note Sonja found of the leaders of Project Jormungandr --the organisation trying to put a stop to this “game”, composed of many of our family members. She managed to infiltrate the timeloop for the first time because there is something special about this specific test that weakened the Knot’s defenses, but we aren’t sure what.”

“This game is really the Game of the Knot, and we’ve been stuck in an iterative timeloop for what would be about 584 years. This is test number 7131. Feybrook is really an alternate dimension formed with magic. Timoleon Silverheart created this game as a means of honing the magical skills of exceptional students, in the hope of procuring the Ultimate Mage. We all signed up for this by our own choice, and had our memories wiped as part of the procedure believing it to be completely non-lethal - which at the time of course, it was.”

“After test number five, in which an explosion at the town square occurred, something happened, although the Professor didn’t know what. This is when the Mastermind manifested themselves in the game, previously being one of the subjects like the rest of us. The Mastermind has been operating under a twisted form of utilitarianism, and believes that we can stop the game at any point, but are simply continuing it to create the Ultimate Mage, which will destroy us all. As a result, they have gone out of their way to make the game as bloody and horrific as possible, in the hope that we will stop the game - unaware that we can’t. The only way we can stop the Mastermind is by identifying them in the Final Trial.”

“The problem is, it could be any one of us… As the Professor reminded me, we aren’t exactly the most, I quote, ‘psychologically stable’ students, so narrowing down the Mastermind won’t be easy.”

“Before I could ask her about the Class Roster (i didn’t actually run out of time, i just wasted the last 3 questions asking stupid things because i’m an idiot and forgot to ask for the class roster), she just… disappeared.”

“One other thing she did tell me however, was the passcode to the observatory computer, which appears to be some kind of black box. You might want to look at it yourselves, because I have no idea what’s up with it.”

(we know marl can’t be MM because the folder i found in the cottage shows him killing me in test #65

i imagine the main form of loreclears will be people killing in previous iterations of the game, notably after #5 (although i don’t think the game was murderous before this, anyway)

i also don’t know why we can’t just convince the mastermind that they are wrong and stupid

it would be funny if this entire loredump was just a troll)

Ok that means Marl is in the clear as not MM.

i’m tempted to say that he was given the loreclear because he was already cleared by the thing eevee was talking about, so it was only fair that it cost us a loreclear

Oh well it works well for us.

crich your outlook might not be the most informed since you’ve been here for like one day but fresh eyes might be helpful

GTH where would you say people are at socially in terms of MM

(“kat is saying they’re MM so they’re probably MM”

say it

say it coward)

My MM PoE is something like this.

PKR
Apprentice
Trochilidae
Min
Eevee
Tangeld
Light
Wazza

Mind you this is done after accounting for blackened, lore clear and behavior during class trials.

Which is why I’ve been saying my MM PoE could do with some trimming.

the only 2 people not in your PoE that aren’t mech/lorecleared are me and katze
big mistake
