Hm. That was underwhelming.
“all of that free pain, gone to waste…”
The fire slowly dwindles, with its’ source curtailed.
“How boring. Hm. Maybe he’ll find a way to make it last longer in a few thousand loops or so?”
He’s gonna feel really silly when we get out of here and he’s got to deal with those scars on his back for the rest of his life.
anybody got some gasoline
You are unconscious. Please do not talk.
(Are we allowed to acknowledge what he said, or no?)
is it time to actually ask if the mastermind is good
letters from the escaped alicia’s told us not to trust project jormungandr
timoleon didn’t seem all too keen on stopping the game and he seemed kinda dodgy as the ghost thingy
plus stephanie told us not to trust him
“…I’m sure he can find a career in acting, or something…”
in a mocking voice “Do you want to know how I got these scars?”
for what it’s worth, i don’t think this changes anything other than lore
i still think we ‘win’ by identifying them, but i wouldn’t be surprised if it was some bullshit lore like they’re actually good or something and we were just doing what project jorm wanted us to do
im pretty sure this is something we’re supposed to consider, who is actually morally correct or incorrect
but i’m not a consequentialist so i don’t care
Fair point. Hell, there’s an iteration of me that works at an adhesive company after she-
Sophie goes quiet
that’s not what i’m considering
what if they’re just lying about that
because when you think about it for longer than 30 seconds how does it make any sense that the mastermind is trying to stop the game but is somehow the thing keeping it going
…Tragic irony?
alyx stares at sophie, also quiet, then sighs
“…meanwhile, not a single iteration of me has ever escaped… i wonder if my moms miss me.”
shrug
i considered it a bit earlier when i was reading more of the lore
the lore is interesting as hell and i wish i paid more attention to it sooner
Regardless of who’s morally right in all of this, what we know for certain is that if we don’t catch the Mastermind, it’s like none of this ever happened. And… I don’t want that. We’ve come so far, lost so much… found more… For better or worse, I want to see this through.
especially since project jormungandr clearly know who the mastermind is since they seem to know what’s happened each iteration
yet they are acting like they don’t
idk if there is much use discussing this since realistically we need to find the MM regardless of the lore but i wouldn’t be surprised if it ended with some twist like we were playing into the project’s hand to get rid of the person trying to stop the game
idk
just give me my happy ending where me and tan escape tbh
