DR5 - Mirrored Embers - Chapter Six - Finale [Surviving Participants + Jane win]

“Hmm? Oh, don’t think he had any sort of sense of kindness or compassion for you. He didn’t just want revenge on the Mastermind.”

(:eye: _ :eye:)

His eyes widen at the reveal but a display of relief comes over him upon the realisation that, regardless of the trivialities, he solved the case.

“…Not quite what I expected. Nonetheless, we were right, and that’s what matters. Another trial complete.”

He leans against the pod with one foot propped up against the back, arms crossed.

(we all solved the case but it’s my character who needs his ego fueled)

I also think it’s a very hard wincon.

But… how did none of us recognize him before he was revealed?

“I know, right! I even left a book in the castle library about him, just to taunt you all!”

It would require framing people.
And the ultimate of disabling cameras was… very outing too tbh.

Maybe if cameras disabled wasn’t announced.

“What- what could we… have done to a long dead- reanimated corpse? Did he- did he… or was he just insane? You people all call me mad… but isn’t this more worthy of the title lunatic? Imagine- imagine faking the dead instead of creating them…”

Well. We were lucky. The lad looks around the room, slightly relieved.

“At least…it wasn’t another one of us.”

Other way would be just hiding own body for long enough for noone to connect it with disabled cams, hmm.

but good lord. The king?

I… I don’t know. I didn’t find anything at all about him in the book Timoleon wrote…

lmao this was an interesting trial

“Have none of you read The Once And Future King before? Huh. Anyway, I’d hardly want to deprive you all the theatre of an execution. Lachesis… hit it.”

“While maybe if you had given us a movie instead we would have watched it.”

Monoluna smirks, and begins levitating.

“In the meantime… I have a tower to rebuild.”

Monoluna… or well, more accurately, Clotho the Spinner, vanishes.

Wait… how can you possibly execute a dead body?

Actually, now that I think about it, it would be easier if they didn’t kill themselves, but someone else instead.
