Run 118: Mirror in upside down castle was used by MM as a misclear after they claimed to see themselves murder someone.
Run 563: MM was 1st to die, and everyone else assumed that MM dying would end the game.
After Run 563: MM covered for every killer and everyone else thought that it was too obvious.
Except they were the MM.
Run 814: The fates offered a motive which allowed an accomplice to escape alongside a blackened.
Run 1314: MM lied through a truth potion that they were not the MM.
Run 1827: They didn’t realise the MM had a past as well.
Run 2003: MM convincingly faked a murder attempt.
I think the warning about run 563 is the one that hints at Trochi being the MM here.
Add to run 814: Everyone thought the MM escaped with the blackened, yet they stayed behind.

Also I have a feeling the Fates have been helping us as much as possibly while trying to circumvent the knot’s protection of the MM.
King Arthur was outed by the Fates for committing suicide when we were reminded that we can vote dead people.
So I don’t think it’s a stretch that the fates are still able to help us find the MM indirectly despite the MM’s meddling of the Knot.

you’re using the argument that the fates are helping us but you’re only using evidence of the hosts doing it

I think you underestimate how hard it is to undo brainwashing experienced as a child.
Even after escaping the nuns, I’m sure Trochi or Matilda would take the nun’s lessons to heart even though she might disagree with it on an intellectual level.
It’s probably more likely that it’s a real hint, as there has to be a way to find the MM and end this once and for all.
yeah do we know when she escaped the nuns? as far as we’re concerned, when she was opening her mouth at the end of the video she could have just said “lmao no fuck you” and that’s when she escaped the convent?
that depends how the game is made
it’s either designed that we find loreclears for everyone and box the MM in this way, or we find loreclears for a certain number of people and then find clues leading to the MM’s identity
although i think the second option is much more likely so i kind of agree with you
but that doesn’t mean this one is necessarily a hint, as we could have just… missed all of them
I somehow doubt she was in a position to escape when she was being made to utter the words the nuns told here.
She was effectively a hostage in that situation and therefore wouldn’t have had the nerve to escape at first.
I wouldn’t be surprised if she was stuck in there at least till her formative years were mostly finished.
Besides there was pretty much no where to go from her even if she could escape at the time.
My thinking is that it was only when she was scouted by the Feybrook University researchers that she was able to escape the nuns.
Which means the nuns had many opportunities to teach her their world view.
