i wanted a lot of roles to look like they weren’t designed to kill people, but it’s not actually as implausible that they might be able to with like, Legislabrand used against somebody who has committed tax fraud, or something.
I might have to tweak stats somewhat, though.
I also notice that you have a huge amount of investigative roles that determine the forensics of the situation…when most dr games have t swung that direction
I also notice a huge amount of immediate information across the playerlist when it comes to murders
So it’s almost like the vast majority of weapon kills become “lmao get fucked for trying” due to the sheer amount of info
okay but geyde do most games have a kunai that can fly on an exact, traced course through the air a single time, an item that is also a room, and other such magical horseshit
I think I’m going to remove the clause of the Ultimate Archer’s ability that says he can tell if something was a projectile kill, though.
I’ll say that this realistically doesn’t effect anything unless it can fuck with location significantly
mostly we have a lot of things that give info about the weapon? which IIRC hasn’t mostly been a huge issue in previous DRs
firstly, Power At A Point actually does have a weakness
which is that we’ve put a German sword called a Messer in the game, which is legally a knife.
to be clear we’re not being total dicks with this one, there’s information talking about how legally it’s a knife in the game as well (that we haven’t written yet because it’s Chapter 2 onwards, and we have plenty of time for that)
plus, knives are by far the most common DR murder weapon, and are fairly easy to just procure.
Legality doesn’t matter for the purposes of a logic based ability
So while that’s funny I don’t know if that’s reasonable
it’s not a logic-based ability
the flavour text i have in mind implies that they’re actually receiving this knowledge through supernatural visions
